WORDS
Convey a message…
Andrea Jordan dreams of acting on Broadway, and she is at
the cusp of achieving success. All her sacrifices start to pay off when she
lands a role that will catapult her to stardom.
CAN
Express our
thoughts…
Award-winning theater critic Bentley Chambers possesses
the power to make or break a career. Theatergoers consider his reviews to be
gospel, and actors cringe at the thought of him in the audience. His words
possess power.
HURT
A heart’s not made
of stone…
More than one actor has been sent packing after Bentley’s
bad reviews, and Andrea could be next. She won’t stand by and let him shatter
her dreams, but she never thought giving him a piece of her mind would also
mean giving him a piece of her heart.
Will Andrea discover on her own the passion Bentley
claims she lacks, or will he be the one to draw it out of her?
Words… choose them wisely.
*STANDALONE NOVEL*INTENDED FOR MATURE READERS 18+*
Watch what you say, words can come back to haunt you. And in the profession of a critic, truer words were never spoken. Bentley knew the second he saw her he wanted her. Yet, his words kept them from crossing paths after breaking down her acting abilities for 5 years.
Andi didn't know what she had done to ever come in the cross hairs of the infamous critic that seemed to despise every time she stepped on stage. Enough was enough. She was going to confront this "old grey haired" man who seemed to be making her life hell.
Bentley wasn't at all prepared for the confrontation he received from Andrea the day their paths finally crossed. And the turn of events that played for them both were both a whirlwind and heart wrenching. The love they both discovered, once she saw he was not in fact an old grey haired man out to ruin her, and was willing to help her with her career caught her by surprise.
As a critic, reviewer or just giving your own opinion on something, people really need to stop and think before just sitting down behind a keyboard. This lesson goes for all facets in life. I believe there is an etiquette in reviewing. You can be brutally honest with someone about their performance, book, movie or whatever the situation is without making them feel like giving up. Reviewing anything is simply ones own personal opinion, and well we all know the saying about opinions. So before you sit down and think about tearing someone apart over something you may not have liked, take a second to realize that whatever your about to say can make a lasting impact on that person.
There is a great lesson to learn in this story. And I believe anyone who reviews anything, should read this book!
