I was given an ARC of Unhinged. I was rather anxious to read it knowing that it was going to be vastly different from anything Nicole Edwards has written before. I must say, that she shocked me, rocked me, and had me hooked.

Nicole Edwards is infinitely described the "Queen of Menage". I, personally, am glad to see her break out of this mold and go in a completely different direction. When you, the reader, reach the end of Unhinged, you're going to be shocked. And you're going to question if this is really Nicole's writing. Why you ask? It's that different from anything that has come before it. I think that Nicole made a perfect move finding a pen name for this one because you don't feel like you reading Nicole Edwards.

In Unhinged, we meet Sebastian... the smoldering "mechanic". And Payton, the new administrative assistant to Conrad Trovato - one of the biggest names in the automotive industry. As Payton finds her way through the world of Trovato, she slips into a family squabble, find a new friend, and find life to be more confusing than she ever thought.

We are getting this novel in a "series" format. So be prepared for a cliffy. The good news, the next installment will be out within the next month so *woohoo* for that, cause I need to get my hands on it.

Having never read a FMF book before, I was hesitant about reading this novel. However, I've been a fan of Lainey Reese for a while now and based on her past works, I couldn't base this story on the FMF aspect alone.

THAT being said. Please. If you are a fan of the New York series, of Lainey's, Please read this book.

Lainey Reese pushed the envelope with erotica & BDSM & took it to a lever that a lot of authors do not dare to aspire to in a female dominated world. As most - note MOST - have no desire to read about female on female action.

*Standing Ovation. Clapping wildly* to Lainey for her resolve and her bravery.

Embracing the Fall is more than just about a FMF relationship. To see the relationship between the two women here is a friendship all of us wish we have - but few do.

Ziphora - the strong, slim, yet loud mouthed lawyer. Confidence in spades. Could take a man, chew him up, and have him for breakfast.

Camille - sweet, submissive, curvy, and ready to please, yet scared out of her mind to take that final step.

Best of friends. Close as possible without a sexual relationship. Both attracted to one man on a visceral level.

Evan.

Master Evan to be precise.

Attracted to the vulnerability in Cami's eyes & her beautiful, curvy shell. Attracted to the confident defiance in Ziphora's face & her sleek, toned body.

Please read this story. Read it. It's not what you (those of you claiming to skip it due to f/f action) think. Lainey Reese pushed not only herself, but her readers. Knowing, fully that her readers would not be happy with the turn of events for Master Evan. The bonds that Lainey creates within the pages of Embracing The Fall are masterful. By far one of the most risky, yet astounding, books she has written. <3

I am generally one of those girls that can't pick up a novel in the middle of a series - even if it can be read as a standalone. I must read the entire series! Well, that stands true for the Fire on Ice series. I haven't read the previous books, I definitely will be, asap.

Drive was fantastically engaging. Whether from the off-the-charts chemistry between the two main characters, or the hilarious bickering back and forth. Sadie and Nik don't know whether to throttle one another or find the nearest bed to fall into. They are quite charming in their never ending ire of one another. The sexual tension between them flies off the pages of the story.

Sadie is a writer, currently freelancing & doing a part time column for a newspaper, she's on the look for something different. After her last bad date, it's time for a new approach at being single. Sixty days. No Men. Then she finds out that Nik has moved to town. The man she loves to hate. The man who sets her blood on fire.

Nik was enthralled with Sadie from the very first moment he met her - when he screwed up majorly. Now that they are in the same city? All bets are off. He wants her, much to the dismay of his best friend. He's going to get her. But then he will have the ultimate decision to make about his future.

Be ready to laugh-out-loud with Brenda Rothert. She's a funny, engaging writer who seems to know how to get the readers attention. I can't wait to read the first 3 books in the series, as now I am hooked!!
