The edge of the mattress bumped his knees and he lowered them both across the bed. Her hips welcomed him, arching up to meet his thrust. Nails stroked lightly across his neck, dragging a ragged groan from him.

"You'd better get rid of these clothes before I tear them off you, baby. I can't wait." That voice grabbed him by the balls and spurred him on.

Kellen stood long enough to kick off his boots and folded his cut across the back of the chair against the wall. Jeans and shirt followed. "You better get rid of that dress, little girl, before I finish ripping it off you."

A lazy smile curved her lips. "I dare you."

A surge of pure heat settled in his belly. "I was hoping you'd say that." The torn edge of her gown felt thin as tissue between his fingers as he lifted it away from her body. The tear ended at the top of her shapely thigh, tempting him to rip it the rest of the way and reveal all of her. But no. He'd looked forward to this moment too much to rush. He fully intended to take his sweet time.

Instead of devouring her immediately, he dropped to his knees beside the bed. The fancy shoes intrigued him, the way they emphasized the delicate arch of her foot and the fragile bones of her ankle. Rather than remove them, he kissed along the curve of her instep and found his way to her calf.

An impatient noise came from her and she moved to pull away, but he held her fast. "Kellen, please, this is not time for foreplay." She hissed a little when his tongue found the back of her knee.
"Little girl, this ain't foreplay. This is me making every inch of you mine." The moan of frustration she made brought a smile to his lips. She would be as finely tuned to him as his bike before he finished, ready to respond to his every thought.

Excerpt #1

“We can talk every day on the phone or by text and Skype, right?” he asked anxiously.

I knew if I said yes, he’d call every day.  Distance would be useless if I didn’t put my foot down.

“Once a week,” I told him.  “Pick a day and we’ll talk then. This is our time to redefine our relationship.”

“I don’t want anything to change,” he complained.  “I don’t want to see less of you or spend six fucking days a week not hearing your voice. Even thinking about doing it makes me feel sick.”

I understood how he felt because I was experiencing all the same anxiety, but I stood my ground.

“This is the way it needs to be for a while,” I answered.  “You can like it or lump it, but I’m not backing down. Call me next Friday.”

When I went to leave, I let him hug me because friends hugged.  I counted off five seconds and then pulled away.  He tried to hold tighter, but I wiggled away.  The benefits of being strong meant that he couldn’t keep me where I didn’t want to be.

“We can’t hug?” he asked in a panicked tone.

“We can,” I said calmly.  “When I hug Tristan, it’s probably a two or three second process.  I gave you five.  Friends don’t hug for minutes at a time unless there’s a crisis.”

“This is a crisis! You’re fucking leaving me.”

I knew then that drawing it out any more was only going to make things worse.  There were times when cutting something short was the way to go, and that moment was one of them.

“This isn’t a crisis,” I refuted calmly.  “This is a reality.  I’ll talk to you next week.  Take care of yourself.”

I kept my chin up as I walked away, and I ignored him when he called out my name three separate times.

Excerpt #2

You’re playing dirty,” he said huskily.

“Who, me?” I scoffed.  “Never.  What makes you say that?”

He rubbed his hand along the back of his neck as he stared at me, his eyes taking in every inch of my face.

“I don’t know, Darby.  Maybe it’s the fact that you’re naked except for a pair of high heels?  I don’t stand a chance.”

“Oh!” I answered with a laugh as I gestured down at my body.  “This old thing?  This isn’t me playing dirty,” I assured him.

“You don’t think so?”

“No,” I assured him.  “But this is.”

I dropped to my knees without warning, and I smiled as I came face to face with the fact that he had a very visible hard-on.

“This is crazy,” he groaned as I ran my hand over his erection.

“Something like that,” I agreed.

I worked fast to get his tuxedo pants open, quickly pulling them down along with his boxers so that I could grip him.  Gripping his erection, I looked up at him and wiggled my brows suggestively.

“Did you still want to sleep on the couch?”

The pained look that flashed across his face was priceless, and I choked out a laugh as his eyebrows shot up toward his hairline.

“I should go sleep on the couch,” he answered huskily.  “But I can’t.”

“Dance with me, Mackenzie,” he said, holding my hand in his, sensually placing the other just below my hip bone. “What are you−” “Shhh…,” he admonished, expertly leading me in our dance, the band playing Cole Porter’s Every Time We Say Goodbye. “Just enjoy it and don’t think.” I simply nodded, turning my head to scan the restaurant. “Mackenzie, eyes on me. I need to know you’re with me.” I snapped my eyes back to his, my mouth slightly agape as my heart pounded in my chest. He was warm and spellbinding. The way he held me in his arms comforted me and made me feel as if they were made to hold me. “Are you with me?” he asked, raising his eyebrows. “Yes,” I said, my voice soft. He leaned toward me and the bit of stubble on his chin brushed my skin. “Yes what?” he whispered. “I’m with you.” The corners of his lips turned up slightly and there was a spark about him that wasn’t present yesterday. “I like the sound of that, Miss Delano.” He pulled me closer and I tilted my head to peer into his striking eyes, needing the connection I felt at that moment. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced, all because of a well-placed hand, a sinfully sexy voice, eyes that made me want to melt, and arms that felt like home. “Who would have thought that the Mackenzie whose lips I couldn’t stop seeing in my dreams last night would turn out to be Mackenzie Delano, proprietor of South Padre’s hottest new spot?” “How did−” “Shhh,” he said once more. “You think too much. Just enjoy the moment because it’s over once the band plays the final note to this melody.” I snapped my mouth shut, a strange awareness of loss washing over me at the prospect of this complete stranger walking away from me once the song came to an end, wondering if I would ever see him again. “You’re a lovely dancer, Miss Delano,” he commented. “Thank you,” I answered, unsure of whether to say anything further. He seemed to be in complete control of the dance, of his words…and of mine. And, for the first time, I was okay with someone else calling the shots. “You have a dancer’s body. I’m confident you’ve bewitched quite a few men with the way you can seamlessly navigate the dance floor.” He leaned toward me and whispered, “I must confess… You’ve bewitched me.” His voice was sweet as it crooned in my ear, and I was left a silent, blubbering mute, the sincerity in his declaration sparking a renewed sense of longing I had ignored for years. My breathing grew ragged, and I was unable to formulate any response. I simply lost myself in the moment of our dance, wanting his sensual words to ring in the recesses of my mind for all eternity. I wished I could have recorded his voice murmuring those endearing words to me so I could replay them over and over again when I needed to feel something I didn’t think I would ever feel again. He molded my frame to his, our bodies swaying to the classic tune, and began to sing along with the band. I imagined he was singing to me, and me alone. His voice was deep and guttural, but sweet as he leaned toward my neck and crooned the last verse into my ear. I closed my eyes, losing myself in his warmth, his voice, his everything. All too soon, the final note rang out, silence encompassing the room, but we continued to sway to the music in our heads, our rhythm perfectly in tune to each other. A loud drum kick echoed, startling me, and I opened my eyes, almost expecting it all to be a dream. But it wasn’t, and I was met with my mysterious stranger’s strong face. Time stood still as we simply stared at each other, neither one of us moving. I licked my dry lips, nerves causing my breathing to grow more intense and labored. He grabbed my hand and brought it to his soft lips, placing a kiss on it. The contact caused a rush of adrenaline to run through me. Before I could ask his name, he was gone, leaving me stunned and alone once more.

Second book in the Mercy Trilogy

Sade and Mercy’s journey takes a dark turn in No Mercy A Darker Continuation.

Some nightmares last only minutes. Sometimes those minutes can last a lifetime.

Dark lusts and self-loathing become a merciless dance Sade can't escape. Surviving one night of horror leads him to a ledge he's never been, where terror mixes with his sadism and masochism for a whole new monster with No Mercy.

A Masterpiece of Sadomasochism

Sade climbed through the window and dropped to the ground right as thunder rumbled louder. The smell of rain thickened the air as Sade grabbed Mercy’s hand and raced to the front of the house.

They made it to the vehicle and climbed in. Oh fuck, no keys. Ten feet in front of them sat a black antique hearse. “Lock your fucking door,” Sade ordered, searching beneath the seat for a weapon.

“Oh my God, he’s coming, he’s coming!” Mercy shrilled.

Sade eyed the sad clown face hurrying toward the truck as he opened the glove box. Mercy screamed as the maniac banged on the driver window.

“Son!” he bellowed, yanking off his mask and glaring at Sade. The blue eyes were nearly brilliant in the darkness. “How could you?” Agonizing betrayal twisted his face before he turned and paced next to the truck, holding his head.

Sade jumped at feeling something buzz under his ass. His fucking phone

“I trusted you, son,” Abraham muttered.

“Look for a weapon, anything!” Sade wrestled the phone out of his pocket.

“I don’t understand…” Abraham looked up and searched the sky. “I thought you said I was getting a disciple? Have I not earned that?”

Sade’s heart stopped when he looked at the phone. Zero battery.

Fists hit Sade’s window shaking the truck making Mercy shriek. “I’m not happy about this, son!” he growled, heaving. “I’m very upset! Really upset!”

“Call the police! Call the police!” Mercy screamed.

Sade looked at the text blaring on the screen. LEAVE NOW!!! ABRAHAM IS COMING! HE’S CLINICALLY INSANE! Sade’s fingers trembled over the keypad, hitting 911.

“Where’s he going?” Mercy gasped. “He’s leaving, he’s going to his car. What’s he doing? Oh my God!”

“911 what’s your emergency?”

“We’re stranded at--”

“623 Fallen Lane Prairie City!” Mercy screamed. “Oh God, he’s got a gun!”

“623 Fallen Lane, Prairie City! There’s a psycho with a gun!”

“You’re breaking up. Are you in town? What town are you near?”

Abraham stalked back to the truck and stopped in front aiming the shotgun at them. Sade shoved Mercy on the seat, covering her. A jolting boom rocked the fucking truck when he fired. “Fuck!” Sade gasped, finally glancing up to find Abraham stalking to the rear of the vehicle. Sade ducked as the back glass exploded. He put the phone to his mouth and screamed, “623 Fallen Lane!” He fought to cover more of Mercy. “Can you fucking hear me!?”

Mercy screamed and covered her head as her window shattered next. Sade looked at the phone. God, fuck no! Dead!

Two more shots took out the windshield. Then Sade’s window blasted into the vehicle, pieces hitting them.
“Goddamn!” Abraham muttered.

Sade shot his head up to see the animal storming back to his car. Sade opened his door and dragged Mercy out. “Don’t look back!” he gasped, running with her down the driveway. “To the highway!”
The sound of a vehicle door slammed and a low engine growled. Light beams soon bounced behind them with the demonic rumble of the engine screaming toward them.

They wouldn’t make it, they wouldn’t fucking make it. Sade remembered the boathouse. “This way!” He shot into the woods and headed in a diagonal direction back, making sure Mercy stayed on his heels. There had to be something there he could kill him with. He’d use his bare hands as a last option. Fucking that up and risking Mercy wasn’t a gamble he could take.

Lucian's Bio
Hello, Lucian here. I’m a husband, author, and Christian who loves writing tales—paranormal erotic romance, contemporary erotic romance, fantasy romance and dark erotica-- about men who honor, cherish, and protect the women they love. Also stories that are real enough to form a sort of how-to bridge for the readers, teaching them "how to" add heat and passion to their marriages and relationships; teach them how to build life-long commitments--like I have with my own beautiful wife--and build strong families; all of which serve as a healthy foundation in society.

I think there are many men like myself, and I hope my writing will be a map for them. A map for women as well, to teach them how to bring out the strength that exists within the men they call boyfriend or husband. Teach them how to dance out their fairytale romance in a world that isn't kind to the happily ever afters we all hope to achieve.

You know, when I was younger, I submitted to my inner reckless and tireless desires, but when I gave myself to God and conformed my will to His, the transformation made me into what I am today. A man that believes and endorses Forever Love. Something we could stand a lot more of in our times, don't you think?

*Release Day Blitz* Fighting Me ~ A Shaft On Tour Novel by Cat Mason

FIGHTING ME - banner

Title: FIGHTING ME (Shaft on Tour, #5)
Author: Cat Mason
Release Date: May 22, 2015

goodreads

Henry Richardson is the man in the shadows. He’s the calm and cool protector that everyone relies on to restore order among the chaos that is Shaft.
After having his heart broken, not once, but twice, Henry is determined that it’s safer for everyone involved that he remain on the sidelines. He is content to hide behind his trademark shades and watch as his adopted family thrive in the limelight. When the live-in nanny for Shaft quits with no notice just before a much needed vacation, her replacement is nothing like Big Man expected.
Rae Sloan is sassy and independent. She loves kids; working at the daycare center inside Ironsound Records was her dream job until she was offered something more.
A live-in position with one of the hottest bands in the country.
When Henry and Rae collide, the tension is through the roof. Neither one of them are emotionally available, but what happens when those layers you have to protect yourself are suddenly stripped away? When push comes to shove, Henry will have to make a choice that will change his life forever. Can Henry find love, or will he lose everything while fighting the demons within himself?

Henry. The "Big Man" on the Shaft on tour show. The backbone of the crew. The main man. The provider. The security to them all. The one who is deep down hurting the most and no one sees it.

Rae comes in out of sheer luck, or better yet, Mack's royal screw up (pun intended) and manages to knock the sails right out of the "Big Man" himself. Going toe to toe with Henry is nothing for the pint size woman who can see right through him. Something that the people who he has spent 24/7 with for the past so many years of his life failed to see.

Taming the "bear" and proving to him at the same time that you are worthy of love no matter what your past has dealt you, is just what Rae has in store for Henry. But, can living separate on the road and her at home with the women when the kids start in school survive what they are building? Henry makes some tough decisions in his life and his career. Always being the front man of security and the alpha, he see's what is important in his life.

Henry has got to be by far the hottest of them all so far. He is the ultimate man and lover. Being older and wise within his years has a lot to do with just what he wants but not feeling he is worthy of those wants. Never knowing if he would have a lil Henry of his own one day. Never knowing if that was even a possibility. Can Rae and Henry work out their lives and settle down? This is a must read! I couldn't put this book down from the time I started it until I finished!

So ready for the next book in this series already!

Oh Henry!!!!!!

I'm sure I won't be the only one saying that. HOT. Damn.

I think as we go back and look over the previous novels, Henry was just there, never standing out, always doing his thing. Protecting his family. Doing what needed done. We never paid much attention to him and his haunting ways. What a mistake that was!

Having his heart broke, not once but twice has him guarded. No woman has ever pushed him and brought him out of his world behind his shades. Until Rae. And she didn't even do anything other than her job.

Rae is a breathe of fresh air among the family of Shaft. Especially to the likes of the Big Man. He find his eyes following her, his hands itching to touch her. But if he puts himself out there, even for one night with her, will he find himself backed into a corner again? She sees through the tough guy persona he's projected. She sees the teddy bear underneath. No one else has ever taken the time to do so.

I can honestly say that Cat Mason has grown during her time with Shaft. Do I see this as the last novel? NOPE!! I think there's more coming, and I can not wait. There's change on the horizon for Shaft and the family.... I want a front row seat!

“Wait for it.”

Mack tosses and turns, trying to get comfortable. Then it happens. “What the hell?” he yelps, sitting up in the bed. “Fuck! Shit! Ow! What the hell is going on?” Flinging off the covers, he slaps the lamp on beside the bed, staring down at the crabs not only attached to his shorts, but one dangling from his finger. “Sonuvabitches!” he screams, fumbling over the clothes and yanking open the door. “Aiden, goddammit, Aiden! Help me!”

Henry guides me out of the closet, his laugh vibrating not just his body, but mine as well. The rich, playful, carefree sound is something I didn’t expect to affect me, but it does. Heading up the hall, we both laugh as Mack attempts to shake them off while running and slamming into furniture as he screams for help.

“Ha!” Cam laughs, while Mack thrashes, kicking his legs and flinging his arms around, but the crabs hold firm, snapping and clinging to his clothes and skin for dear life. “Look, Mack’s a ninja.”

Aiden scratches his chin before shaking his head. “Mack the ginja ninja, I like it. You know, Mack,” Aiden laughs, while Mack leaps around like his ass has been lit on fire. “I’d think after some of the women we’ve caught you tappin’ you’d be used to handlin’ crabs.”

“You two are fuckin’ hilarious, you know that?” Bumping into the coffee table, Mack tumbles onto the couch beside Aiden and Cam before rolling onto the floor. Cam yelps, leaping into Aiden’s lap while Mack flails in the floor like a fish out of water, the crab flying off his finger and landing on his bare chest before snapping at his nipple making him scream. “Would you help me before they snap off my dick?”

“Don’t be so crabby, muffin,” Henry says, angling his phone at Mack. “Looks like they just wanted to help you relax.”

I erupt into a fit of uncontrollable giggles causing Henry to grab his phone from my fingers when I nearly drop it. Mack’s eyes snap up, widening the instant he spots us walk further into the room. “You motherfuckers.”

“Big Man, you’re a goddamn legend,” Aiden says, leaping from the couch. Running over, he bumps Henry’s fist before taking the phone and hitting a bunch of buttons before handing it back. “I can’t wait to upload this bad boy,” he says, running up the stairs.

“Oh, yeah, he’s a damn riot.” Standing to his feet, Mack yanks at the crab on his shorts causing it to fall to the floor. “Asshole,” he says, glaring at Henry. “I can’t believe you put these little bastards in my… fucking hell!” he shouts, jumping on the couch. “That little whore just bit my toe!”

“I’m positive those aren’t the worst things that have been in your bed, and they won’t be the last,” Henry teases. Walking over, he picks the crab up from the floor and holds it up to Mack’s face. “Isn’t it cute, Dominick?” he asks, holding it out as his little claws snap open and shut just inches from Mack. “Give it a kiss.”

“Get it out of here!” Mack shouts jumping off the back of the couch to the wood floor behind it.

“Well,” I grin widely, placing a hand on my hip. “You’ll have to tell that to the dozen or so probably still waiting for you in bed.”

Henry shrugs. “Payback’s a bitch, and so are you.”
