Olympic gold medalist skiers Jayla Stone and Rush Remington have been best friends for years. They’ve seen each other at their best and worst and have kept each other’s secrets without fail. Only there’s one secret Rush has kept close to his chest. After months of introspection, Rush realizes he’s been filling his bed but not tending to his heart. He’s changed his womanizing ways, and the only woman who can fill his heart has been right by his side all this time.

Years of intimate conversations and the sharing of hopes and dreams collide when Rush reveals his secret, and one toe-curling kiss changes everything between Rush and Jayla. They’re no match for the passion that kiss ignites, or the pull of true love. But being Rush’s best friend means knowing all about his revolving bedroom door—and Jayla has a secret of her own that could jeopardize her career and her relationship with Rush. Even their love may not be enough to overcome Rush’s past or secure Jayla’s future.

Welcome back to the Remington Family. Next up, bad boy Rush. Being friends with Jayla for the past 15 years has been easy. Making her see that he's changed his playboy ways and wants her for the next 50 years, not so easy.

Rush Remington has always been a "fly by the seat of your pants" kinda guy. The only person who's stood by his side is Jayla. Fellow competitive skier, best friend, sexy little minx. One night, one serious chat with his brother, and Rush comes to realize, he's not so happy with his reputation, with who he has become.

Jayla has loved Rush since they were kids. She knows his rules about women. She knows his past. She also knows that's he's not ready to settle down or if he will ever be. So she keeps her love to herself. Never telling anyone. When all the rules change, she doesn't know which way to turn.

Melissa Foster, keeps her Love In Bloom series, floating with each additional novel she brings to it. I love the family dynamic she's brought to the table. Can't wait for Kurt's book!

The Remingtons, #3

FLAMES OF LOVE is the newest addition to the LOVE IN BLOOM series by New York Times & USA Today bestselling and award-winning author Melissa Foster. This 5-book steamy contemporary romance series features alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're flawed, funny, passionate, and very relatable to readers who enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women's fiction.

As one of New York’s Finest, firefighter Cash Ryder is always prepared. When a woman’s car skids off the side of a mountain during a snowstorm, he’s there to rescue her. Cash is totally focused on the woman’s well-being, but within minutes of getting her to safety, he realizes that he’s nowhere near prepared for the heat that rolls off of sensual, smart-mouthed, and stubborn Siena Remington.

As a model, Siena Remington has dated some of the wealthiest, most handsome men in the industry, and she’s made peace with the idea that most men are just looking for eye candy and they wouldn’t know how to romance a woman to save their lives. When she’s rescued by a tall, handsome stranger, she thinks that maybe, just maybe, she’s found her own real-life romantic fairy tale—until he opens his mouth and everything that comes out is gruff, ornery, and aggravatingly sexy.

Thrown together during an annual firehouse calendar photo shoot, the passion between Cash and Siena sizzles, and neither one knows how to control the flames. After an evening of verbal sparring followed by a sinfully sensual night, their darkest secrets are revealed—and so is Cash’s warm, romantic heart. But Siena’s secret might be too much for big, strong, always-prepared Cash to handle—and Siena is forced to choose between a man who’s everything she’s ever dreamed of and an opportunity of a lifetime.

Cash Ryder - HELLO! Wow. Who doesn't love a fireman?? Who doesn't love man who loves with everything he has? Cash is wrecked by guilt. Guilt for the one he wishes he could save. Guilt that weighs on him daily. That comes to the forefront of his mind each time that bell rings in the firehouse. A chance encounter allows him to save Siena. He never expected he'd be following her around saving her time and time again.

Siena Remington is one of the top models in the business. The one thing that has set her apart from everyone else is that she's down to earth, friendly, approachable. She's not the stereotypical model. She's the good girl. The one who is always on her game and has never been tarnished. Meeting Cash was explosive. Just when things are starting to turn a corner for her, her agent decides to dirty her up a little bit. Be aware of the fire that's going to burn.

Foster has done it again with Cash and Siena. Beautiful love story with a hero who's not much of a hero, and a beautiful privilege girl who needs a little saving. I have a feeling we just met the next batch of the Love In Bloom series with the Ryder family.

Kate Parello runs a volunteer program in Belize for Artists for International Aid, where she deals with self-centered artists who use the program as a means to repair their marred reputations. She loves the country, the people, and what AIA stands for, but too many diva volunteers have turned her off to press-seeking celebrities altogether and left her questioning the value of the volunteer program. When she meets incredibly handsome and charming Sage, he stirs emotions she hasn’t felt for ages, even though he represents the things she despises.

Laid-back artist Sage Remington escapes his wealthy lifestyle in the Big Apple for a two-week journey of self-discovery to figure out how a guy who has so much can feel so empty. When he meets ultra-organized Kate, who lives her life the way he’s always dreamed of living his, the attraction is too hot to ignore, but Sage is there to figure out what’s missing in his life, not to find a woman.

Every look, and every late-night chat in the romantic jungle brings them closer together, but Sage can barely think past stripping away Kate’s misconceptions about him. Kate fights him every step of the way—even though she finds it hard to ignore the strikingly handsome, generous-to-a-fault artist who wants to do nothing more than right the wrongs of the world—and love her to the ends of the earth.

This is probably one of my favorites of the Love in Bloom series.

Kate works for AIA. She spends her life trying her best to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. Giving up her home to work abroad in desolate conditions, she's happiest here. One thing she can't stand about her job? When the celebs roll in to repair their image. But she puts up with it. Then Sage comes rolling in.

Sage, artist who truly wants to make a difference in the world, he's tired of feeling lost. He wants something more meaningful in his life. So when he meets Kate and learns about her cause, he finds himself falling. Then he realizes she's lumped him into the same category as the rest of the celebs. Now he's got to find a way to fulfill himself and prove to her that he's true all at the same time.

Bravo!! Melissa Foster. I loved this book. I don't know what it is about this story that got to me, but I loved it. It had depth, and obstacles that both of the characters had to overcome to be together. Love Sage and his vision and his sincerity in trying to make a difference in the world.

The Remingtons, #1

Ellie Parker is a master at building walls around her heart. In the twenty-five years she’s been alive, Dex Remington has been the only person who has always believed in her and been there for her. But four years earlier she came to Dex seeking comfort, and then disappeared like a thief in the night, leaving him a broken man.

Dex Remington is one of the top PC game developers in the U.S. He’s handsome, smart, and numb. So damn numb that he’s not sure he’ll ever find a reason to feel again.
A chance encounter sparks intense desires in Ellie and Dex. Desires that make her want to run—and make him want to feel. A combination of lust and fear leads these young lovers down a dangerous path. Is it possible to cross a burned bridge or are they destined to be apart forever?
What can I say about Dex?
Dex is a sweetie. A hopeless romantic who lost his way and now he's numb.
He's shut himself off from love. From romance. From any possibility of being something other than alone. If it's not Ellie, he's not interested.

Ellie is damaged - badly.
From a history of foster homes to an abusive relationship, she's lost.
And now, being back in New York, she feels like she's come home, but at the same time, she feels lost. Dex is the one person who throughout her life has been there for her. Anytime she needed a place to run to, it was to Dex. She doesn't want to go there this time. She wants to do this on her own. Then... he sees her, she sees him - everything else falls away. Leaving nothing but an open window, a hope, and his arms to keep her safe.

*sigh*

Melissa Foster is a stupendous storyteller. As always, she pulls the reader into the family aspects of the novel while creating intricate storyline at the same time. I love The Remingtons. I love that the Love in Bloom series has continued on and continues to grow and change with each novel. One importance remains the same - Family.
