**Review** Legal Affairs Vols 3-6 ~ Sawyer Bennett

Violation~Vol 3

My life is in a tail-spin and I’m about ready to crash.
I’ve cut Matt Connover out of my life… well, at least out of my bedroom… but I still have to deal with him at work. I have Lorraine intent on raining hell and destruction down upon me, which at least provides a nice diversion from my miserable feelings over Matt.

About the only good thing that has happened to me lately?
Cal Carson asked me out… and I accepted.

Matt’s not going to like that. Not one little bit.
But that’s not my problem now, is it?

In Violation, Mac has held onto her word of ending her affair with Matt. Befriending Cal seems to be the deal break with him. Yes, he's unwilling to tell her why. Dealing with Matt on a daily basis continues to drag her down and keep her wondering if she can continue in her position.

The sparks continue to fly in the ongoing saga that is Matt & Mac.

Mitigation~Vol 4
I’ve seen a new side to Matt Connover. He’s proven to me that there is something inside him other than icy control and masculine force.
I’ve seen care… tenderness… even protectiveness.

I’ve seen vulnerability.

But Matt Connover’s issues run deep. I know Cal hurt him deeply, and he keeps himself protected because of that. I also sense there is something more to his pain that even I cannot comprehend.

Matt is struggling between what he knows and what he wants.
I’m struggling with boundaries and how to protect my own fragile heart.

This time I’m drawing a line in the sand and Matt can either step over to join me, or these Legal Affairs are finished forever

Mac and Matt continue in the "on again, off again" relationship while struggling to work out all the kinks.

As a tragedy occurs in Mac's life, Matt is standing by her side and helping her make it through. He shows her the he has what she needs, and it breaks her resolve. She's desperate to pull him out of himself and show them what they can be together.

Sawyer Bennett certainly knows how to drag out the suspension. As each chapter releases, the reader is anxious to get their hands on the next.

Reparation~Vol 5

Matt Connover is like a new person. Caring, romantic and thoughtful. No worries though… he’s still sexy as hell.

He has changed in every way that I have ever dreamed of, and he did it because he wants me. It’s like a fairy tale of sorts.

Except… like with every fairy tale, there is a villain. One who threatens to disrupt the harmony we have created together.

Is what we have strong enough to survive? I truly believe that perhaps I can find love within these Legal Affairs. I’m just not sure Matt believes it

In this installment of Legal Affairs, Mac has laid down the law with Matt. It's going to be up to him to decide whether his relationship with her is worth it. As Matt accepts what is, and settles into things, he continually worries that this relationship is going to end up the way all of his has. Fighting demons and facing conflict has never been one of Matt's strong suits. He may not have a choice much longer.

Affirmation~Vol 6

Things are off, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Some things, however, are the same. For example, the sex with Matt is just as nuclear and consistent as it always has been.

Still… I feel like I’m holding onto Matt with my fingertips, like he’s on the verge of slipping away and I don’t know what to do.

When I started these Legal Affairs, I had no way of knowing the depth of feeling that would become involved. I had no way of knowing this man could shatter my existence.

I don’t want to be hurt, so I’m grasping hard and I can only hope that he wants me enough to hang on just as tight.

In the conclusion of Legal Affairs, Matt is pulling away. He's tried to open up to Mac, but he can't. And she can't figure out why. As Mac continually tries to break his walls, she's got to decide if putting up with Matt's ever changing moods is what she really wants for her life. Matt continues to spiral, Mac continues to look for ways to move on with her life. As she finds her open door, Matt is faced with the certainty of Mac leaving him. What will he do? Will he let her go or will he break the chains that bind him and put everything on the line for the one woman he can't live without?

Objection Vol 1 Here
Stipulation Vol 2 Here

In Legal Affairs, the reader will feel a range of emotions. Attraction. Lust. Love. Despair. Hate. Anger. The heat between Matt and MacKayla is scorching up the series from the first page. Sawyer was able to keep the suspense building from novella to novella. Keeping the readers absolutely on the edge of their seat, engaged with Matt and Mac and what was going to happen next.

Going on their journey is an exhilarating experience. Sawyer Bennett is an amazing writer, I've known that since I cracked her first book in the Off Series. With Legal Affairs, she's reached knew limits, that I never expected from her. In a short time, Sawyer has progressed from Paranormal YA Romance to New Adult romance, and now she's moved to Erotica romance. How many authors can make such leaps and bounds? She is truly an amazing author and has such a bright and shiny future ahead of her.
