What a rollercoaster of emotions with this book! I had read one other of Jen’s books before reading this one and loved it, so I had to give this one a try when I read the synopsis.  I sigh just trying to wrap my head around such a book as this. It had to have taken a lot of emotional turmoil to write this book. It spans from teen years to middle-age. Yes…I *sigh*

I try never to give spoilers away, so looking at the synopsis and thinking of this book, trying to write a review will be hard. This means, it can’t be as in-depth as I usually write. Let me convey these things about the book: it goes from heart-breaking, to heart-warming, to hot and loving, to heart-breaking, to heart-warming, to hot-as-hell and loving; and in-between all of that you have some funny moments, meet some pretty amazing people, hot guys, douchebags, outstanding friends, family and lovers.

I will admit, it went a little slow for me in the beginning, until Charlotte and Nathan were older, and then it really picked up and really started flowing. Not that it didn’t keep my interest, it did. It was just a little depressing in some areas and I actually had to stop and wipe a few tears away.

I really liked the book and do recommend it for those that can stand a few sad parts and like a book that spans that many years. I liked the years of time. Yes, there were years skipped so you didn’t have to read about every single one. But you see the progression of how life changed each main character. I loved that.
