Kitchen Affairs by Brooke Cumberland

Kitchen Affairs
Brooke Cumberland

The most important things in Molly Woods life are her daughter and finishing up culinary school. She has no desire for a man in her life other than her best friend, Michael. Suddenly there's Drake. Drake Staglinao is the manager of the hotel/restaurant where Molly is interning the last semester of school. And he has his eyes set on Molly.

Molly & Drake set off on a romantic roller coaster of hidden temper tantrums, jealousy, sex in the kitchen, & *gasp* naughty pictures. Pictures that through a jealous rage, get released to her entire class. Then to the paparazzi.

Drake is a broody, moody man. We see flashes of his true personality in this book, but I think we are going to get to see the REAL Drake in the next book. I really liked Molly, I felt like I got a good sense on her character, the type of person she is, and the pain she has been through losing her first love. Drake is an enigma! It's still with me, there's something not quite right there.

I did feel like the book was somewhat anti-climatic with regards to what happened with the photos and the person behind them. Overall, excellent read and I am anxious to get to the bottom of Drake. Where is Kitchen Scandals???? Haha I want it now!!

On a side note for you grammar nazi's, there was one blunder grammar wise, not a big deal, but it is repeated throughout the book. Don't freak out, doesn't interrupt the flow of the book, and the author is fully aware of it! It's not worth missing the book over!
