First of all, I love a good short series that I can quickly read, and that pulls me in and keeps me wanting.

Secondly, this series, while short yes... they each carry their own. Lance's book touches on the image of a woman. How she perceives herself through the eyes of her parents, her friends, the public, and yes... men. There is a lot of reference to "Barbie" type women. You know the ones I'm talking about. There's a lot of reference to men who want a woman with curves.

Lance - aka Rush - is one of those men. A man who wants a woman with curves. That's why no other relationship has developed. He just hasn't met the one he wanted to fall with. Lance got the name Rush because he lives for it. He lives for the rush of his job, his passion, and for the rush of falling. And convincing the right one that the time has come to fall is difficult.

Candace is one of those girls. She's been constantly battling life and weight since she was a little girl. With a "Barbie" mother, she never made it through one day without listening to it. So when she meets Rush, she's instantly on the defensive. Why would a gorgeous man like him want anything to do with her? She doesn't understand. Determined to show him just how "ugly" she is, she keeps him at arms length and holds her ground that he's playing with her. It's only when he faces the ultimate task that she finds she's the one who has been playing games.

I'm finding that this short story speaks to me. As a woman who has battled weight her entire life, I felt like I was in Candace's shoes. As I'm sure a lot of other women who read this will find it as well. I still struggle daily when I'm complimented by a handsome man. It still shocks me when I get hit on. Finding a way to love yourself and be comfortable with yourself is something we all struggle with. Chelsea takes this battle and hits it head on. And she did an amazing job with it. So the next time you get a sly smile from an unexpected person, give one right back, you never know what could happen. ;)

Self esteem. Weight issues. Self image. Food consumption. These are all things a parent should not degrade their own children about. Society does enough of that. Candace aka "Ace" is not a size 6 young woman. She loves to eat and yet she also has some self esteem issues with her own body from past experiences with boys and scrutiny she has lived under from her own parents. Rush comes in just in time to show her just how a real woman should be treated. No matter her size. A woman who can handle him and he not have to worry about breaking in half. But to get Ace to realize that there are truly men out there who like women who aren't stick figure barbie doll size takes a bit to work up to. This fast paced read has all the feels to keep you right on the edge and make you want to grab a hold of men and parents who only want to live up to an image of what society feels women should look like. Fake or not.

Chelsea Camaron was born and raised in Coastal North Carolina. She currently resides in Southern Louisiana with her husband and two children but her heart is always Carolina day dreaming.

Chelsea always wanted to be a writer, but like most of us, let fear of the unknown grab a hold of her dream. She realized that if she was going to tell her daughter to go for her dreams, that it was time to follow her own advice.

Chelsea grew up turning wrenches alongside her father, and from that grew her love for old muscle cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, which just so happened to inspire the Love and Repair and Hellions Ride series.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Honest is what you will always get from me: good, bad or in-between.

From the beginning, Dimitri DuPont is a mystery. You never know exactly what to think of him. Yes, he comes from a rich family. He dresses nice and has that rich air about him that says he demands respect. When Trinity doesn't "bow" at his feet, he is intrigued; not only because of her beauty, but because she isn't impressed by his money and standing in society.

Trinity, being the accounting/auditing inquisitive-type that she is, has plenty of questions about the man, but she is also intrigued with him as well. As much as she would like to fight the chemistry between the two of them, she finally gives into it. With, so much going on with the business she is paid to audit, and so much going on with Dimitri, she is left with quite a job trying to put all of the pieces of the puzzles together.

Alexandra did a wonderful job keeping my interest in this book. It is quite the page turner. I am a sucker for a good romantic suspense/mystery, so this book was right up my alley. Alexandra also did a wonderful job in her character building. She did it a little at a time as the story progressed at just the right time, giving me information when I needed it to hold my interest, but not too soon to make me bored with the story.

However, being that I am an Accountant, I have to be honest, there were a few little flaws in her research into the world of accounting. For that, I have to mark off a little. She could have used a little more time for research to make the book more accurate in that area. In my opinion, it is ALWAYS better to take more time to get facts accurate, even if it means moving a release date. But I DO love the book other than those little flaws in the book and I do recommend it as a read. If you aren't an Accountant or don't work in accounting, you probably won't even be bothered by it.

Yes, there is a cliffhanger, so I am looking forward to book two in this series to see what happens next! But, I should have known she would do that! That is always a "thing" she is good at doing to us! :) However, they are always worth the wait!
