**BT & Giveaway** A Fighter's Desire ~ L.P. Dover

Two is always better than one.

Knowing a fighter’s desires and needs are one thing, but actually experiencing them is another. A Fighter’s Desire gives you not one, but two stories full of hardcore passion, angst, and action that’ll leave you breathless and aching for more.

Part One: Ryley and Camden Jameson, well-known MMA fighters and identical twins, were just as aggressive and passionate in the bed as they were in the ring. They loved a good fight, and that’s exactly what they got when they met Ashleigh Warren. The brothers had a habit of sharing things—including women—and she happened to be the only one they truly craved. However, the problem was getting her to agree to their proposition. It was one she couldn’t refuse, but she knew it wouldn’t be easy to win. Nonetheless, she sure as hell was going to enjoy it.

Part Two: Fighting temptation isn’t easy when you’re constantly around the one person you’ve desired more than any other. Gabriella Reynolds was warned by her brother, MMA Heavyweight Champion Matt Reynolds, to stay away from his friends; they only wanted one thing, and in the end they’d break her heart. She heard it, but the desire to have the one man she couldn’t led her down the forbidden path to pursue him; he also happens to be one of her brother’s best friends. Tyler Rushing can’t deny his attraction to her, and he’s afraid she’ll want more than what he can give her. When he finds out that’s not the case … everything changes. They have no choice but to keep their time a secret, and it’s a secret that’ll stay with them forever.

*****Katrina's Review*****

In this book we get two interconnecting stories of MMA fighter’s and two female college roommates in their senior year, still trying to figure out their lives, both personally and professionally. These characters are spinoffs from the author’s Second Chances series. So, if you have read that series you will recognize some of these characters, but you do not need to have read that series to read this one. Let me say right now, if you are looking for a HEA, there really isn’t one…yet. One couple may have one for right now, but I am waiting to see if that lasts, but we shall see.
This book is different. It is written in two parts. The first part is about Ashleigh, one of the roommates, and her somewhat unconventional relationship with a set of identical twin MMA fighters that will melt your panties, just by looking at them…then they open their mouth and all of this crap comes out and you want to flog them…and I don’t mean in the Domme’-kind of way either. But, Ashleigh is no pushover and she knows how to handle two douche bags like them and they will not get the best of her, which makes them want her even more.
The second part is about her roommate, Gabriella, and her attraction to one of her brother’s best friends who is also a MMA fighter, but since her over-protective brother, Matt (also a MMA fighter,) has made it plain to her and all of the MMA world that she is not to have anything to do with ANY fighter, Gabby and Tyler, the one fighter she wants and vise versa, have kept their distance, until one weekend they decide to take a chance. Knowing he can’t give her forever, Tyler is a little worried about this until she makes it understood she doesn’t want that either. After all, she is just getting out of college and still trying to find her own way. So this seems to be the perfect situation for both of them.
This book is so different from L.P.’s Second Chances series. In those books, they were all about the HEA and even though those did have some hard lessons in life mixed in with some of the character’s history, they ended well. Don’t expect that here. Not that this book ended badly, but don’t expect a total 100% HEA. Some might even get a little upset with the way the book ended. But, I have to say, it just made me curious for the next book. It wasn’t really a cliffhanger; it just ended at a decent place; leaving you wanting more. I am looking forward to the next book. That is for sure.
I have to say, I enjoyed this book a little more than the Second Chances series. It had a little more hard-edge, grown-up feel to it. For you heat lovers, there was plenty of heat and a lot of sexual tension! Those bad boys have filthy mouths too! Have your towels ready! Yes, eventually, I would like to see some HEA’s happen for these characters and for sure some character growth, because, believe me, they need it! They need to mature! But they are still young and “finding” themselves and some are still going through some pains of the past.
L.P. Dover is showing writing growth in this book. She is taking subject matter you might find in other books, yet twisting them in such a way that will surprise you. That is showing growth to me. She isn’t following the mainstream, she is following a different path in her writing and I like that. She leaves you with just a little bit of a gasp at the end. Just a little…
There are a few editing problems but not enough to keep me from reading or recommending the book. 4.5 Stars KCW

Part 1
“How do you know I don’t care about you in that way?”
“Because it’s you we’re talking about, Ryley. You can have anyone you desire, and the last thing you’re going to want is to get involved with me. Women follow you around everywhere, and as much as I think you’re a great guy, I don’t think I could handle it.”
“Do you not think I’m capable of treating you well? To stay faithful?” he asked.
I burst out laughing, but my smile quickly faded when I looked over at him and saw his serious blue gaze. “You’re kidding, right?” When he shook his head, I sighed and shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know, Ryley. From what I know about you and your past with women, I’d have to say trust would be a main issue. You can’t have a relationship without it.”
“So you don’t trust me.” It came out more as a statement than a question.
Regretfully, I blew out a sigh and said, “No, I don’t … at least, not with my heart.”

Part 2
Breathing hard, I stepped out of Tyler’s reach and started for the door, much to his dismay. “Why are you here, Gabriella?”
Keeping my back to him, I paused with my hand on the knob, and blew out a heavy sigh. “I told you. When I want something, I get it. I wanted to see you.”
“You’re walking a dangerous line, Gabriella. I don’t do relationships, and I don’t plan on starting … even if it is with you.”
I glanced at him over my shoulder. “Well, then I guess it’s a good thing I don’t want one with you either. Look, Tyler, I’m only here for the weekend. If you want to see me again you know how to find me. No strings, just you and me.”
