Interview with the Nicole Edwards ~
1.
Who/what inspired your passion to write?
I have always had a love for writing, or more importantly, making up
stories in my head. I like the opportunity to unplug from reality
from time to time and I felt one of the best ways for me was to put
the words on paper. I’ve always loved to read as well and I think
the more I read, the more I read and fell in love with authors and
their characters, the more I realized I wanted to share my stories.

Do you have any odd quirks that you must do to write or to be
comfortable in your space to write? I’m
very OCD when it comes to my writing space. I have to have all of the
surfaces cleaned off so nothing distracts me. (Facebook does a good
enough job of that). The more clutter that I see, the less I can get
engrossed in writing so every week, I clean my office, wipe
everything down, vacuum the floor and ensure that there isn’t
anything that doesn’t belong. I only wish I could be the same way
with the kitchen.

How do you balance your personal life with your writing? Do you still
have a 'day job'?
I actually quit my day job back in December in order to do this full
time. While I was working, I found myself so desperate to write that
I wasn’t getting much sleep. I would wake up at crazy hours of the
morning with inspiration and I knew I only had a couple of hours
before I went into the office. Writing became just as much of a day
job for me and I found working two full time jobs was really taking
me away from my family. As for my personal life, I’m blessed to
have a very supportive family and yes, they let me know when they
feel as though I’ve spent more time with my characters than with
them.

I love that Colt is so supportive of your writing!! Has he always
been 110% on board with it? He
has always been supportive of everything I do. When I talked to him
about writing full time, I know he was nervous because there’s
nothing like giving up a stable, full time job for something exactly
the opposite. He was proud of me and he wanted me to succeed, so he
managed to give me his approval. I am truly blessed to have him in my
corner.
5.
If your books were made into a movie who would play each character?
This is a question that I’ve always had a hard time with. First of
all, have you read my books? LOL I don’t know if there’s a movie
theater out there that would actually play the movie if it were based
on my books. So, honestly, I’ve never really given it any thought.
Although, if it ever does happen, I don’t care who plays them, as
long as I get to hang out with the actors/actresses at some point.

Was
there a character that you started writing in one direction, then
abruptly changed him/her and headed in an entirely new direction?
I’ve actually had that happen a couple of times. It generally has
to do with the characters personality. For instance, Zoey (Kaleb, AI
#1) actually started out very sweet and demure. She wasn’t at all
thrilled about that and she told me as much one night when I was
trying to go to sleep. I had to go back and rewrite the entire book
and it was about 50% complete at the time just so I could make her
happy. She’s much more spunky than she is sweet.
How
in the hell do you stay out of the bedroom long enough to continue to
write the H.O.T. sex scenes? (from tonya @ TTP - says her hubby
thanks you!)
It’s not always easy, let me tell you. The only thing I can say is
that I get stuck in my own head for long periods which helps to hold
off the craving.
Do
you act out the scenes with Colt to ensure accuracy?? (can't believe
I'm asking that) From Lois
Ummm, can I plead the fifth? Let’s just say, we’ve done some
research on occasion.
Luke
and Cole are classified in a relationship as bi with Sierra. Do you
foresee 2 females in a relationship with a man?
Anything is possible. I won’t rule it out. My characters dictate
exactly what they need to be happy. When I write, the happily ever
after is about love. The adventure is getting to that point.
Considering both of my series are based on adult sex clubs, I’d say
it’s a good possibility that it will happen.
Will
we be learning more about the elusive silent partner of Club Destiny?
Yes, you definitely will – he is going to have his own book.

Ok, I've been asked to provide a little bit of "real" information about myself. That's harder to do than you think it is, especially for someone who has difficulty talking about themselves. ;) But, here goes...
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a kid, I loved creative writing and as I got older, I got acquainted with those voices in my head and that led to putting my stories on paper. And now, here I am all these years later, spending my days doing what I love most. I decided to give myself over to writing full time in 2012 and I haven't looked back. I spent nearly 13 years in the corporate world and I have to say, this is a bit of a change (just a little) and I am loving every second of it.
I live in Texas with my husband and three amazing kids and our two beloved dogs. If I'm not writing, I'm usually reading. I devour everything I can get my hands on. I love romance of any type and being an Indie author myself, I'm always looking for new Indies to support. I haven't always been into reading, but about eleven years ago, I picked up a book - I'm pretty sure it was by Nora Roberts - and from there, I haven't stopped. Before I began writing full time, and my characters started taking up so much of my time, I was reading about 200 books a year. That has dwindled somewhat, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't read.
An interesting fact... I don't watch television - aside from the occasional news anyway. I will go see a movie or two rarely, but for the most part, I get all of my entertainment from a book. Some of my favorite authors include J.R. Ward, Suzanne Brockmann, Lora Leigh, Jane Rylon, Lori Foster, and Jaci Burton just to name a few.
