**BT** A Million Tiny Pieces ~ Nicole Edwards ~ Reviews from Amy, Tonya, Kat

Title: A Million Tiny Pieces
Author: Nicole Edwards
Genre: Adult, Erotic Ménage Romance
Release Date: January 20, 2015

Mia Cantrell is happy to be rid of her lying, cheating, ex-husband. With her divorce final, Mia is moving on, grasping the reins of life once more. She’s learning to deal with the shattered remains while putting one foot in front of the other, taking control of her own decisions, and ultimately living one day at a time. Too bad the universe has put a hiccup (or two) in her well thought out plan.

Phoenix Pierce is putting the pieces back together after the death of his father. Between his multi-million dollar company, the NHL team he now owns, and the endless supply of women willing to share a bed for one night of uninhibited sex, he finds himself going through the motions. Until he meets Mia. Although he’s on a mission to win her, that doesn’t solve his problem of the other person he wants… the man he has denied himself for years.

Tarik Marx doesn’t think anyone could ever fill the void in his life the way Phoenix unknowingly has. That is until he meets Mia. Thanks to a fractured childhood, Tarik has to face a bigger problem: he doesn’t know how it feels to be loved. His past adds additional complexity when Tarik finds himself trying to figure out how he can have them both.

Is it possible for a million tiny pieces to come together again? And if they do, will that make the bond even stronger than before?

So, Nicole Edwards has pulled out all stops with her new book, A Million Tiny Pieces. As per usual, she reigns the book world with her ability to give us an amazing story with an unusual triad. Phoenix, the unlikely owner of NHL hockey team; Tarik, his (Phoenix's) right hand man/body guard; Mia, the shy, newly divorced college student.

All living in the same building, continual run-ins are going to happen. And they do. And with Tarik manipulating situations to get them all together in one room - the chemistry is explosive.

Phoenix is trying to balance his new responsibilities with the team, his company; throw in his battle with his feelings for Tarik and now Mia. Half the time he feels as though he is going to lose his mind. Without Tarik in his life to keep him on the straight and narrow he'd be lost and have no clue which way to go. Add in a pending lawsuit that he must win, his head is spinning.

Tarik lives and breathes for everything that is Phoenix. His business, his safety, his extracurricular activities, his day planner. When Phoenix shows interest in a new addition to their building, Tarik feels as though he's going to lose him altogether -- and that is not an option. It's time to bring his feelings to the forefront and make Phoenix face them head on.

Mia is doing everything she can to move on with her life after her failed marriage. Swearing off men due to the hell that was her marriage, she can't believe there's not one but TWO sexy mysterious men in her building she keeps running into. But she must focus. School. That's her focus. Make it through school and don't get distracted. Between her friends and these two sexy men suddenly in her life, she can't focus on anything. Especially when they put their hands on her.

Nicole Edwards gives us a smoking hot storyline that involves everything a reader needs to survive. Two sexy alphas, a mystery that needs to be solved, a battle to survive, a love to cherish and save.

I'm not usually one who gives stars to a book... but this one 5 blistering scorching stars.

Again. Again Nicole has managed to set my tablet on fiiiiiiiira *in the tune of Alicia Keys*....

Phoenix, the very powerful owner of a NHL hockey team, is scared. Scared to let people see just what he's been battling on the inside for so many years.

Tarik, the very powerful PA/Security guard/best friend, knows exactly what he wants and could careless who knows.

Mia, a gun shy, divorced woman who has no desire to even think about a relationship or men in general. Until she runs into a hooded handsome stranger.

These three have to see if they all want what each wants together. Mia trying to hold onto her settlement from her ex husband, the same man who is trying to take everything Phoenix has left from his father. Tarik is sitting back waiting for everyone else to get with the program, because as he sees it, he already knows who "owns him" and where his heart is going to lie for the rest of his life. He just has to get everyone else on board.

I always think of Nicole Edwards as the Queen of Threesomes and in this story she didn't let me down. She built this perfect triad up slowly and teased us and kept us reading wondering how it would work out. A slow burn.

Two characters, Mia and Phoenix were fighting something in this story, Mia, not wanting any relationship, just trying to work on her college and getting herself together after her divorce, and Phoenix, not wanting to admit his attraction to Tarik. Tarik however, wasn't fighting anything. He knew what all parties needed and REALLY wanted. Now to get everyone on board with the program and to get rid of all the roadblocks along the way, namely partners and ex-husband/villains.

I love Nicole's writing style, and character development. She peels each layer of the characters back little-by-little like an onion. Showing you little pieces of them a little at a time, but she also gives us a slow burn, as well, when it comes to sexual chemistry. She makes us want to keep reading. And when the sexual scenes come? Holy Hanna! Hotness!!!! She never disappoints!

Character Interview

Tonya only had one question, but a very detailed and in depth question, for Tarik...

So Tarik, you are one to know exactly who you are. You are a patient man waiting and biding your time. You know that Phoenix will come around to what he truly feels deep down that he's denied himself for so many years. He has grown and evolved into the man who you "own" and who "owns" you now as well. So, my question is, if you know deep down in your heart that a man can change and come around to his true emotions and feelings deep down, will you ever entertain the thought of giving your dad a second chance and go see him? If not, why? What's so different you can't give him a chance to see if the years behind bars has helped him evolve into a better human. If yes, will you consider taking Phoenix and Mia with you or will you leave them out of that part of your past all together?

From Tarik:

Very deep question, but I’m willing to answer. First of all, you’re right in the fact that a man can change. As for my father, it’s possible that he has. Maybe time has helped him to evolve into a better person. Whether or not he has regrets, I don’t know. Do I care? Yeah, it’s possible that I care somewhere deep down. Keep in mind, the only family I’ve ever known is Phoenix (and Phoenix’s parents) and now Mia. Growing up, my parents weren’t there for me, they didn’t show me what it felt like to be loved. I’m not sure if that’s because they didn’t know what it felt like or if they were just really shitty at showing it. Either way, I now know what it feels like and it’s something I wouldn’t trade for the world. If my father reached out to me, I’d give him another chance. On whether or not I’ll reach out to him, I don’t know that yet. It’s a possibility, but only time will tell. I can say that with Phoenix and Mia by my side, I’m a different man, I have changed. So who knows what the future will bring?
