**BT** RIDING IT OUT ~ JENNIFER FOOR ~

Title: Riding it Out
Author: Jennifer Foor
Release Date: December 29, 2014

One woman

One man

An empty bed and breakfast

A summer storm

One night they'll never forget - so they thought...

When my aunt passed away and left me her dilapidated bed and breakfast it was all so surreal. I hadn't been back to that beach in many years, and the idea of revisiting left me sad and vulnerable.

I never planned on having guests. In fact, I just wanted to close up the place and sell it, so that I could move on with my life.

Then the storm happened.

Taken by surprise, I planned on waiting for it to pass. The house creaked and the power went out. That's when someone knocked on the door.

He was a stranger, dripping wet, cold, and looking for shelter. I couldn't turn him away...

What happened next between us opened new doors, changing everything I thought I wanted for myself.

The only question is if I can trust him, or will his secrets destroy it all?

Let me just first say, this book wasn’t at all what I was expecting…it was better. I was expecting a fluff book. It wasn’t! It went much deeper than that. There were some hard truths in this book; some hard times in this book. It wasn’t all just jump-in-the-bed sex and fun.

This book finds one sexy, hard-headed, workaholic woman, who thinks she knows what she wants in life meeting one sex-on-a-stick retired marine searching for what he does want in life. At first you think it is going to be two people coming together for one night in a storm, but honey, the storm is just beginning.

The story is told in two parts: The Storm, told from the view point of Erica, the heroine, and The Hurricane, told from the view point of Reed, the Hero. For the most part, the storm is mild until layers start being revealed and then “the hurricane” hits, and you need to hold on to your hearts. It isn’t the worst tear jerker, don’t get me wrong, but it will pull at your heart in more ways than one.

I loved Jennifer’s writing-style. She was graphic enough in the sex scenes to give you what you want and it was good. She wasn’t afraid to “go there” in her writing. I like that in a writer. If you are going to write these kinds of books, have the nerve to “go there” and not go around it. I love a dirty talking man, and Reed delivered. Not overly so, but just right.

Jennifer was able to make me feel the picturesque scenes of the beautiful house and beach but not so much that it bogged the story down. I am not reading a book like this for that, but I would like to be able to get a feel for the story. She got that just right.

The secondary characters were perfectly placed, had character to add to the story and comic relief when needed. She did great on that. There were even some sad characters in there that added to and brought so much to the whole storyline. Good job, Jennifer.

I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author. I have already recommended her to friends.

5 stars.

Christmas is a time for family and friends. A time to be with those we love and cherish, the ones who make our heart beat. But when the love of your life is half way around the world, how do you let the spirit of the holidays lift you up and bring you cheer?

Kelsey and Riley spent more time apart than together early on in their relationship, but now he's away for a different reason. Riley’s absence while deployed is taking a toll on Kelsey. She finds herself crying more often than not and distancing herself from the people who are there for her the most.

Riley employs the help of some friends to make Kelsey's Christmas without him a special one. A series of notes and gifts remind her of the good times they have shared so far and the ones to come.

Is Kelsey strong enough to handle one of the happiest holidays separated from the man who completes her in every way?

Will Kelsey scavenge for the strength she needs to embrace the role of a military girlfriend or will she crack under the pressure from the distance?

Only she knows how much she can take….
*****
Tiffany Aleman is back with a followup to the Best Seller Smoldering. While we got the end result of Riley & Kelsey's relationship, a little piece was missing. How did she survive her first deployment? Scavenge answers that question. Riley takes us on their journey on how he strategically involves her best friends in helping her survive what will be the loneliest time of her life.

Tiffany Aleman does a military relationship justice. Maybe it's because of her own personal life, but she has the knowledge, skill, and story telling ability to pull her readers into the scene, and make you feel as though you are watching it in real time. You feel Kelsey's pain, her loneliness, her happiness, her joy.

Amazing job Tiffany. You work is spot on, and undoubtedly will have another best seller. I can't wait to get more of Riley and Kelsey. I wasn't ready for this one to end. <3

SMOLDERING REVIEW

I finally breathed. I felt it hard to breathe through so much of this book. Not many books do that to me, but this one did. My kindle is lucky I didn’t throw it across the room and against the wall. It wouldn’t have survived.

Kelsey’s family and her fiancĂ©: I wanted to throat-punch all-three. OMG! She gets away from them with the type of best friend we all dream of having. For two years she is finding who she really is, then in walks the man of her dreams and they make such a connection…I can breathe. They are so happy.  Then someone from her past comes back in to cause problems and what happens next…holding my breath again.
Riley is the man of all of our dreams. He has the family we all dream of having. But, he is just a man; he can only handle so much. He and Kelsey both make some wrong choices and cause each other pain. Getting this relationship right will be some work.

Tiffany made this book so true-to-life: with Riley being in the military and Kelsey having to deal with that life-style, with past hurts from each other and other people, with how to forgive and move on, with how other’s (friends and foe) cause problems and help get them from point A to point B.

My emotions were all over the place. When a book does that to you, you know it is good. It was also a hot book as well. She knows how to write that, but it wasn’t over-wrought with those scenes. However, when you get to one, you know it! ;)

Well, done, Tiffany! 5 stars!

SCAVENGE REVIEW

Scavenge takes place during the end of the book Smoldering only told in more detail. It is while Riley is on deployment during the Christmas holiday and Kelsey finds herself questioning how strong she is and how she will be able to make it worrying herself over Riley and his safety and being away from him during such an important time in their relationship.

Riley is one smart man. He uses some close friends to keep things going on the home front while he is away to make the holidays special and always making Kelsey feel loved and adored. Kelsey, though, must also realize she must do a few things too make Riley feel loved, special and adored and realize she has to make a few sacrifices on his behalf.

Tiffany must know the heartache of the military life in some way to nail the emotions of this book so well. It kept my interests and made me think of all of the couples I know that are going through or have gone through this and how strong they are/have been. What a beautiful, beautiful book. We should all read this to get insight into what military families go through and sacrifice for our country.

Hey everyone! I'm the author of the International Bestseller, Smoldering. I'm a mom of 2 great kids and I'm married to my best friend. I live in the deep south and wouldn't have it any other way. Originally, I hail from Austin, Texas.

I've been writing ever since I was kid but I decided to put my passion to use in May of 2013. Smoldering is my solo debut. It's a book that took up residence in my mind and wouldn't leave me alone until I finally decided to write it.

When I'm not writing I can be found on the beach with my family and friends or out in the woods getting dirty in some Georgia clay on a four-wheeler.

“Okay,” I say to Max unsteadily as we lean into the printing press. “We start with the ink.” I take his right hand and place it over mine, take the stick and gently stir the paint in the can. The violet swirls, and I lift the wet stick and drip it across the
screen.

I try to focus but his touch and the heat from his body permeate
my senses.

Next, I pick up the squeegee, and we complete the motion of dragging the paint across the printing screen. But it’s awkward with his hand on only one side of the squeegee. As I lift the screen, he steps around and removes the print and reloads silently.

When he returns, he steps directly behind me, and since he’s taller and larger than me, he curls around me and reaches everything easily.

He slides both of his hands on top of mine.

I can hardly breathe I’m so electrified. Swirl, lift, stroke…His breath is hot against my neck.

We grip the squeegee, slide, pause, drag back with more force, lift.

I close my eyes so I can focus on his scent and the feeling of his arms wrapped around me.
He pauses before he steps away to switch the paper.
When he returns, he steps even closer so that when we extend ourselves across the print, he presses against me.

I gasp. All I can focus on is his arousal pressing against me.

I’ve never wanted anyone this much.
By the third pass on the printing press, I’m trembling, and when he presses against me, I press my ass back into him, imagining him inside of me.
“Ava,” he moans.

As much as I want to turn around and face him, I don’t want to stop. I don’t want this moment to end.

“Again,” he groans.

This time, as I slide the squeegee up, he lets go, slides his hands up my arms and trails them down my sides. All the while, his lower body is firmly pressed against me. I could cry it feels so good to have him touch me in ways I never thought he would. I slowly grind my ass against him. His hands move down to my hips, and his fingers grasp my curves, pulling me closer.

I’m surprised he has the focus to change the paper, but he doesn’t reach around to help me with the screen this time. Instead, his hands return to my hips as our bodies press together, and he run his hands down the sides of my thighs and back up. He slips his hands under my tank, moving up my sides, across my ribs, and just skimming the edge of my bra. My nipples harden, aching for his touch, and my breaths are quick and short.

I drop my head and moan, “Max.”

“I know, baby, I know,” he whispers, pressing his lips in my hair
at the nape of my neck. He steps away again and replaces the paper
quickly.

“Again, Ava, for me.” He brushes his cheek softly above my ear and presses into me a little harder.

I try to concentrate on the trail of violet left from my stroke, but as I push up, his hands part. One slides down over my jeans, between my legs, and presses firmly against my sex. I drop the squeegee and grab the edge of the table, just as his other hand snakes under my shirt and pulls my bra down to cup my naked breast.

My breath catches in my throat as I revel in every sensation.
His fingers gently tease my nipple, and he kisses the side of my neck up to my ear.

I moan as the room spins, and I try to make sense of what’s happening as I come undone. The room is hazy with the softest highlights and shadows. I wonder if this is a dream.

**BT & REVIEW** WHITE KNIGHT DOM ACADEMY ~ A DOM WARS CONTINUATION ~ LUCIAN BANE ~

White Knight Dom Academy
a Dom Wars Continuation
WKDA COVER
Bestselling Romance Author Lucian Bane
December 26, 2014
Lucian and Tara may have won Dom Wars and the Million--two, in fact--but they didn't realize they'd be the reigning Mr. and Mrs. Dildo USA.

As the new "Faces" of the large adult-toy company, they're required to train at least five couples within five years, in the art of Dominance and submission. In addition to selling X amount of Gladiator toys.
Only problem is, Gramma isn't leaving Maplewood, Missouri, which means they'll have to conduct Undercover Operation-Kink in Tara's stuck-up, religious hometown, without getting caught and having the entire family thrown out.

But two million dollars is two million dollars, and Lucian and Tara didn't come all this way to forfeit everything they sacrificed. So, the plan is to Dom and sub up, find a way to pull this kink-heist off, and collect their winnings. And with the help of his good friend Steve, he's sure they can manage anything.
*****

*I was given an ARC for an honest review. Honest is always what you will get; good, bad or in-between.

For the past few months, Lucian Bane has been in paranormal land with his Ruin series, and he isn't finished with that, so we can still look for him to finish that series, but for the lovers of his Dom Wars series (raising hand) we got our WKDA we have been waiting for and I, for one, was not disappointed.

It has a different feel, but it should have. No longer are Lucian and Tara in a contest, their relationship has changed, they have money and they have Gramma in their lives. Gramma is a spunky spitfire of a woman and she is fun! She adds a whole new dimension to the Dom Wars “feel.”  Steve is back and we learn more about him as a person as well as his wife. This aspect is just beginning and will be interesting to watch and will add to the whole WKDA aspect as the story moves along.

Then, they are in Maplewood, Missouri, where people are judgmental and probably think these toys and D/s are from the devil. So, how to figure out how to do all of this undercover is going to be interesting to watch. If you have read any of Lucian’s writings, you know, while being red-pepper, panty-melting, hot, he can bring the comedy too. He did all of that here.

I love his straight-forward writing-style when it comes to sex scenes. He pulls no punches with you. You know what you are getting. In other words, he has a dirty mouth, *swoon*  but, a true gentleman when it comes to Tara. He treats her with respect while giving her what she wants and needs…and she loves his dirty mouth. Yes, it sounds like I mixed up the writer-Lucian and the character-Lucian in this statement, but here they are one in the same, because, after all, writer-Lucian wrote character-Lucian’s scenes. *wink*

Then, there is the way he treats Gramma. So much respect, but puts his foot down when she gets a little too demanding when she thinks she can still do things she can’t. So, he knows how to handle the feisty little lady and she loves him.  Gramma is going to prove to be one smart cookie and comic relief as well. I am loving Gramma. Yes, comedy. Lucian still has his comedy in there. So, you will have a few laughs along the way.

I am so excited to see where this series goes (I see a villain or two in the works here too.) I have to say, I am jealous of Lucian’s paranormal time. I don’t want to have to share his WKDA writing time with his Ruin writing time because that means longer time between WKDA books, but I like Ruin too. Keep up the good work, Lucian, just take the time for good editing. Thank goodness you are good to download updates to that as needed. (smiles)

Lucian's Bio
Welcome to my world
My name is Lucian Bane and I’ve heard from many that I’m the odd one out. But really, I’m just a Husband, an Author, and a Christian Dom. Ah, maybe that’s the one that makes everybody pause. Oxymoron? Not at all.

As an author, I like to write stories—paranormal erotica and contemporary erotica—about men who honor, cherish, and protect the women they love. But more importantly, I also attempt to make these stories a reality for couples everywhere by teaching them in the form of fiction how to add heat and passion to marriages and relationships that might not have it. Teach them how to build life-long commitments that form strong families, like I have with my own beautiful wife.

I think there are many men like myself, and I hope my writing will be a map for them. A map for women as well, to teach them how to bring out the Dom that exists within the men they call boyfriend or husband.

As young men, our inner Doms need a master to train them. I once bowed to my inner Dom's reckless and tireless desires, but when I gave myself to God and conformed my will to His, the transformation made me into what I am today. What many would call an Ineffable Dom. But its equal term in the Vanilla world, in my opinion, is simply a real man.

**RDB EXCERPT** JADEN ~ TIJAN ~

  Jaden
Being framed for murder sucks. Being framed for the murder of your old friend-turned-enemy-turned-maybe-friend-again sucks even worse. The old Sheldon would’ve raised hell, but no, I’ve been nice. I’ve been quiet. I’ve not said a word while the headlines rip me to shreds, but now? All bets are off. I’m going to find out who did this to me and I’m going to make them pay. I don’t care who will get hurt in the process.

Everything was covered with trees and forest, but then we got a view of a mansion. It looked like a castle, and my eyes couldn’t help but go wide. Whose was this? And then the front door opened, and I jerked forward in the seat. My seatbelt tightened and I was shoved back, but I couldn’t look away. I couldn’t close my mouth. Everything stopped in that moment. When we slid to a stop and the lawyers got out of the car, I was slower. My body had trouble moving and my legs were stiff. My arms shook and my heart raced as I pulled myself up outside the car. I had to hold onto it or I would’ve fallen. I heard my knees knocking against each other. I couldn’t feel them, but I heard them. “Hello, Sheldon.” The man before me was in his forties. He was dressed in a black business suit, which fit him like a glove, and he gazed back at me. He waited for my reaction. There were no words. “Dad?”

Hello~ (waves) I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.
