Jonas
and Sarah’s addictive love story picks up right where the first book left off,
hurtling to a heart-stopping conclusion that will leave readers breathless and
screaming for the unforgettable final installment of The Club Trilogy.
Sarah:
“My entire life has spiraled into chaos and yet, all I can think about is my
raging, thumping, insatiable addiction to Jonas’ magical touch. He’s unleashed
an all-consuming hunger inside me that can only be satisfied when Jonas finally
surrenders to me the same way I’ve surrendered to him—mind, body and soul.”
*Gasp* That is where I am left at this heart-stopping cliff-hanger! Thank goodness I already have the third book on my kindle! Lauren, you naughty girl! Thank goodness, she doesn't leave readers waiting long between books.
This series...one of my favorites. Such a knowledgeable writer. Humorous, educated, philosophical and very enlightened on life. And let's not forget the HEAT. OMG! The heat is off-the-charts. Character development is exactly where it needs to be. When you are reading you know what you need to know about each character, when you need to know it. Secondary characters are placed right on target. None are there unless they are needed. (Dare I guess that Josh and Kat, Jonas twin brother and Sarah's best friend, are going to get their own books too?) :)
Scene building is almost perfect. I will say Lauren is a little wordy. Some of that could have been cut down. That is my only complaint, but not enough to keep me away from this series. The inner-dialogue Jonas and Sarah have with themselves sometimes goes on a little long and that is the part that could be cut a little, other than that, I have no complaints. This series is on my list as one of my top series to read.
Great job, Lauren. I can hardly wait to start, book three, The Redemption.

Title: The Club (The Club Series Book #1)
Author: Lauren Rowe
Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance
Release Day: January 5, 2015
When
playboy businessman Jonas Faraday receives a private note from the anonymous
intake agent assigned to process his online application to an exclusive club,
he becomes obsessed with finding her and giving her the satisfaction she claims
has always eluded her, in order to fulfill his own desperate need for
redemption.
Sarah: “When I read Jonas Faraday’s brutally honest
personal message on his application to The Club—I practically climaxed at my
desk. I’m an idiot to risk losing my job but I couldn’t resist contacting him.
I knew my confession would be like dangling an irresistible carrot in front of
his nose—but never in a million years did I think he’d actually hunt me down.”
Jonas: “I was shocked to get my intake agent’s
email—I’d attached that note to my application on a whim, never expecting a
reply from an actual person, let alone a reply as mind blowing as that. Her
message was so alluring, so irresistible, I’ve been spiraling into a
full-blown obsession ever since I got it. What’s her name? What does she look
like? Finding her is my
top priority.”
In The Club, what
starts out as an innocent exploration of attraction quickly spirals into a
steamy story of unbridled passion, obsession, heartbreak, and, ultimately,
redemption

I rub my hands over my face.
Jesus, this woman is my crack.
There’s a beat. I should say
it now. But I want to say it when I can show her and tell her at the same time.
I don’t trust myself with words alone—they’ve been a struggle for me ever since
that whole year as a kid when I didn’t speak at all.
She clears her throat. “How
is it possible every single time gets better and better and better?” she asks.
“Because we were made for
each other,” I say softly. And because I
love you.
Her smile widens. She pushes
me back onto the bed and swiftly straddles my lap. She leans down and kisses me
tenderly.
I rest my hands on her
thighs. “Where the hell did you get the idea to sixty-nine me all of a sudden?”
I ask. “That was a pleasant surprise.”
She looks at me sideways.
“Jonas, I’ve been reading sex club applications for the past three months,
remember? I’ve been stockpiling ideas the whole time.” She winks.
“Oh yeah?” I like where this
is headed. “You’ve picked up an idea or two, have you?” I cross my arms under
my head and gaze up at her.
“Yes, sir,” she says, her
eyes ablaze. She rubs her hands along my biceps. “Maybe just a thing or two . .
. and now that I’ve got the right partner . . . the perfect partner . .
.” She
leans down again and kisses me. “My sweet Jonas.”
My heart leaps. “Sarah,” I
breathe. I want to tell her. She deserves to hear it from me.
She whispers right into my
ear. “Madness.”
I exhale and close my eyes.
I know I should be happy to
hear this word—she’s telling me she loves me in the exact way I’ve taught her
to say it to me—the precise way I’ve trained her to say it so as not to scare
me off. Love is a serious mental disease,
I explained to her, over and over, quoting Plato—pointedly avoiding the
more pedantic but direct route to the same message. I glance away, trying to
collect my thoughts. I feel like I’m failing her with all my secret codes.
“Oh,
Jonas.” She leans down and peppers my entire face with soft kisses—the thing
she does that makes me want to crawl into her arms and cry like a baby. “Don’t
think so much. Thinking is the enemy.”
