**Review** Degradation ~ Stylo Fantome

f

Eighteen year old Tatum O'Shea is a naive, shy, little rich girl. Twenty-three year old Jameson Kane is smart, seductive, and richer. They come together for one night, one explosion, one mistake, and Tate is hurled into space – no family, no money, and no Jameson.

Seven years later, life is going pretty good for Tate, when she runs into Jameson again. This time, she thinks she's ready for him. She doesn't have a naive bone left in her body, and she can't even remember what shy feels like. Jameson has evolved into Satan – sharp teeth, sharper claws, and a tongue that can cut her in half. It all sounds like fun to a girl like Tate, and she is ready to play, determined to prove that she isn't the same girl he conquered once before. A series of games start, each one more devious than the last.

But the devil likes to play dirty, and she learns that playing for souls is playing for keeps. The lines between games and reality, heaven and hell, get blurry. Can she beat Jameson at his own game before someone gets hurt? Or will he leave her soulless, making him the winner, once and for all?

WARNING: contains a wannabe B-rate porn star, an impersonal personal assistant, and the F-word, A LOT. Also graphic sexual situations and sadomasochistic themes.

A rags to riches story? Nope, not even close!

When I read the introduction to this story I was immediately impressed with the author. Stylo Fantome describes her style while writing Degradation as EXACTLY what came out of her brain! (I love that!) To put your thoughts pen to .paper that way is HEROIC. Bravo, Stylo!

Degradation ... The act or process of ruining something.
Or in this case someone...

When a young lady from a privileged lifestyle is turned away from her family and left to fend for herself she must be to blame, true?
Tatum O'Shea had to be the worst kind of evil to have fallen for her sisters lover, but she couldn't help it... Jameson Kane was irresistible, sexy as hell, strong and domineering. He was also Tate's secret obsession!
A chance meeting, to much to drink and one very poor decision changed all that for her!
In the seven years since that fateful night a lot had changed. Instead of Harvard and social responsibility Tatum pours drinks, works for little and takes her "punishment"anywhere she can find it! Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think HE would storm back into her life.
I ran through the whole spectrum of emotions with this read!
Jameson a.k.a. satan had my brain workin' overtime.
You have got to read this one to believe it! I could go on and on with this review but I.Hate.Spoilers. Looking forward to book two releasing later this month.
5 big bright stars from me. Wow just wow!

Let me first say, when I was asked to review this book I was excited to get to do so. I wanted to read this book, but with my time constraints as a reviewer, I didn’t know when I would get the chance. It was like the review gods were looking down upon me and blessed me with one off of my own to-be-read list. I was not disappointed…read on…

If you like a bit of dark, twisted erotic read, then this book is for you. Tatum O’Shea is one beautiful badass chick. She wasn’t a push over when she was young. She learned to be a little tough from her up-bringing, even as a rich girl; but after losing her family, she had to toughen up even more and she did! She can look a person in the eye and not blink when they are calling her all the colorful names of the rainbow if she so wishes. Tall, sexy crystal blue-eyed Jameson Kane was dark when he was younger, but add seven years of living and his father’s death to the package and you have Satan-incarnate. Mix these two together and you have the perfect package of one f’ed up relationship that was negotiated to be just a sexual-relationship-only-thing when Jameson accidentally found her again. This was fine with Tate, because she didn’t do relationships at all. She only did sexual relationships or friends with benefits. Feelings only got you hurt in her opinion. So this works for her. Add in the sidekicks of Angier for Tate and Sanders for Kane and you have a story that just twists and turns and leaves you breathless at the end waiting for the next installment.

Stylo is one intense author and knows how to keep you turning the page. Don’t worry about getting bored, you won’t. Worry about losing sleep! Worry about going to work the next day! Worry about getting back from lunch on time…see a pattern? Yeah, you don’t want to put this book down. It is intense, raw, and sexual, but she doesn’t overdo the sex. She is smart that way. She leaves you wanting more, so you want to keep going until your next fix.

There are some minor editing problems that had me going back and rereading a sentence on occasion; that is my only complaint on this book, but not enough to keep me from recommending it. It is worth a read. I am looking forward to the next installment called, SEPARATION, due out, September 22, 2014, so it is almost here! 4.5 Stars! KCW
Crazy woman living in an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ..., forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.
