Kylie Scott returns with the highly anticipated follow-up to international bestseller LICK.

Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn’t plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn’t count on finding the one right girl.
Anne Rollins never thought she’d ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn’t end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?

I wasn't sure what to expect when I opened Play. I know that I loved Lick. For me, Kylie Scott had a lot to live up to, Lick was phenomenal.

Mal was a shocker to say the least. While he seems to be the life of the party, a little crazy, and quite the ladies man - the REAL Mal was completely different. There was moments when I looked at Mal and I thought "omg really??" "is he for real" especially in the beginning of the book when he really pulled out the antics. Getting Anne's attention wasn't so hard. Getting into her head, a little bit more difficult. Being in the position that he's in, he needs her, and if she can swallow her pride, she needs him.

Anne really wasn't so sure how to accept Mal as he imposes on her life, especially when she comes home and finds him all but moved into her apartment. Anne has to wonder how she's going to deal with Mal on a day to day basis when she has had the biggest crush on him for most of her life.

Kylie Scott did an exceptional job with Mal. He's certainly a character that will have you cracking up at his antics. The two of the characters together is an oddball match made in heaven.  I'm certainly anxious to see what Kylie Scott brings us next.
