Nightmares.

Sterling and Ruthie have more things in common than they realize, even though from the outside it doesn’t seem like they do.

Blood.

Sterling is a decorated war hero.

Ruthie is an ex-con.

Their two worlds should’ve never collided, but fate has a way of turning life in the direction least expected. Now Ruthie has to try to come to terms with the fact that she’s in love with a biker who’s also a decorated Navy SEAL. One who leaves for months at a time with little to no advance warning, taking her heart with him each time he goes.

Pain.

Sterling has a lot of things to overcome in order to have Ruthie, the biggest being her mind.

She doesn’t think she’s good enough.

He thinks she’s perfect.

Now it’s up to him to show her just how right he can be.

I love this series and this author. Ya know one thing I love about them? This is one of the few MC series that the guys all act like they are mean mofo's but they are really big giant teddy bear good guys. HOT Sterling is no different. I knew when I read Silas' book and got the intro to Ruthie she was gonna be a total sweetie. And witnessing her interaction with Sterling was *swoon*.

Sterling has wanted her since he first saw her. First had his conversation with her. But he knew that her demons rode her just like his rode him. So he did the next best thing. He took it upon himself to make her his new best friend. When he's not gone on missions as a part of his SEAL team, he's either with his club or he is with Ruthie. But Sterling's demons run far deeper than just the things he's seen in his time in the military. Sterling battles abandonment issues.

Ruthie killed her husband. It's no secret that she is an ex-con. It seems that serving ones time makes no difference. Shes consistently abused by the towns people. Ruthie has fair game not to trust anyone around her. With the exception of Sawyer few people see the woman behind the mask. Sterling is one of those. She doesn't know why she chose to tell him her life story. She doesn't understand why she can't stay away.

As their friendship intensifies, Sterling and Ruthie are thrown through so many hoops. Between their respective parents, abusive neighbors, and haunting people from the past, it's a wonder if they will make it out alive.

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
