**BT & Giveaway** Storm ~ Bad Boys of X-Ops 3 ~ Rie Warren

Danger.
Lust.
Desire
. . . Trust?

STORM
I’m headed back to the Blood Legion MC in New Orleans, my old stomping grounds.
Guns. Thugs. Broads. Cocaine nightmares. A Mexican cartel, cracker coke
runners, and now there’s a new international threat in town.

Blaize Carmichael is my only partner in this op. Blaize. As a biker
babe. Jeeesus. I’ve had a bone for her from day one when she walked
into headquarters—haughty, superior, and always in charge.

There’s a goddamn good chance we’ll get made, played, and put in the grave as
government-issue traitors. But I can’t help it—I love to get rough, raw, dirty,
and dominant with her.

No more yes ma’am, no ma’am. Blaize is about to find out I don’t always takes orders as issued.

BLAIZE
I can’t stand the way Storm calls me woman or cher or sexy. As
soon as we’re back in DC, I’m going to wipe that infuriating wicked smirk right
off his dangerously handsome face.

I’m always prepared for every scenario. I’ve built my career on complete
professionalism in and out of the field. But when Storm comes at me with wild
animal lust—when he opens up to me—when he opens me up, I can’t say
no.

I don’t want to.

We’re in danger every single day we stay in NOLA. There is no way we can make it out
alive. Not together. Not this time.

“T-Zone took you in when the CIA wrote you off,” Blaize scathed.
“And y’all think you were the ones doing me the favor? Baby, you’d need an extra hand to count the number of
successful missions I’ve carried out for T-Z, and you goddamn know it.” I
pushed her back with my huge muscled body pressing against her.
I watched her swallow, but some seriously angry heat came off
her.
It only made her sexier to me.
“You got no excuses for that off-op shit you pulled tonight, and
you know it. And you do not want to play this game with me tonight.” I began
undressing.
Shirt tossed. Boots thrown. Belt whipped out. Pants tugged down.
Crossing my arms over my chest, I stood in front of her—a
foreboding, tall, dark shadow of fully fit and ready-to-fuck man. “Lose the
clothes, Blaize, before I slice and dice them with my knife.”
She sucked in a breath.
“You and I both know it’s been building to this.” With my hand
curled beneath her chin, I lifted her mouth until it brushed against mine. “If
you don’t want to get fucked and fucked hard by me right now you better leave
this room and run tail back to DC.”
“I don’t back down from a challenge.”
I laughed. “This ain’t a challenge. It’s sex. You and me.
Clothes. Off. Now.”
She undressed while I stood right up against her. Her breath hit
me, her soft panting gusts of air. My eyes dipped lower when she skimmed the
shirt from her shoulders. Her bra—lacy and creamy white—almost overflowed with
her tits. I didn’t help her unclasp it but watched with hungry intensity when
she hit the hook and it popped free.
The straps dripped off her arms, and her puffy pink nipples
rasped against the hair on my chest.
I chugged in a lungful of air, balling my hands at my sides. My
cock, thick and hard, wet the bare skin of her belly with a skein of pre-come.
“The jeans now.” My voice was low, thunderous, chest-deep.
She wiggled free, her breasts connecting with my abdomen, which
clamped like I’d been hit by a hammer blow. Those soft swinging tits colliding
against me made my head ratchet back. But I kept focus. Kept my gaze on her
when she stood up.
No Fucking Panties.
Nude. Blaize. She was all golden skin and incredible eyes and
glowing hair.
And heat poured off her, firing through my veins.
I stepped away, rubbing a hand across the thick black stubble on
my chin. Taking her in. Filling my sights. Memorizing her.
And that little pink pout of her pussy lips—shiny and slick
already—below the narrow tangle of bronze-red curls.
“Fuck, Blaize.”
She held her shoulders back, placed her hands on her hips, and
asked, “Do I pass muster, sir?”
“Get on the bed. All fours.” A muscle at the back of my jaw
ticked.
Her nipples hardened with my harsh words, and I watched a trail
of wetness weep between her legs.
Fuuuuck me.
I didn’t touch her. Not yet. But it was damn hard not to.
I watched as her ass swayed, her hips switched back and forth,
and she got into position in the middles of the bed.
I was hugely hung, hugely hard, and really fucking angry. Blaize knew it, and she
was ready for me.
This mating dance was nearly over.
But I didn’t let myself get close to her yet.
Couldn’t.
She needed to understand the new rules first.
I almost trembled in my skin, walking around the bed, viewing her lush bod from
every angle.
My voice thickened from my throat and came out hoarse and husky as hell. “Fair
warning. You’ll be screaming tonight. Not because I took a strap to your ass
like everyone downstairs expects. But because I’m about to fuck you so good.
And when you have a hard time walking and sitting down tomorrow? Won’t be
because I punished you. But because I screwed you all night long, cher.” I prowled onto the bed behind her.
“Understand?”
In answer, Blaize drew herself up and cupped her tits. I straddled right behind
her. For a moment. Running my hands over her body. Touching between her legs
and pulling her back to me when her pelvis kicked forward. Sliding my palms up
over the indent of her waist and holding her hands down to her sides. Lifting
her breasts, massaging them, palming both mounds and thumbing across her
nipples.
With my hand at the back of her neck, I slowly laid her down. Laid her out.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Can you say hot?

Staying true to her super sexy X-Ops stories I think this one is my favorite!

Author Rie Warren had me loosing my mind by chapter two!

In book three BOYS OF X-OPS we find Nash LaFontaine going back home to NOLA to take down his former MC. This time he not riding his Harley alone.

Blaize is the "Boss Lady" and going along to make sure things go as planned. (to get her and STORM out of Blood Legion alive)

Let me tell you... if you need a hot summer read (stand alone or read as a series) I highly recommended this one. STORM is full of knuckle busting drama, family secrets and lust! Okay there is this super sexy ending as well. I was literally screaming along with Blaize !!!! *wink*
I was screaming for one more chapter. Get your heads outta the gutter people!

Five stars from this fangirl!

**Promo Tour** Finding Sam & A Reliant Love ~ Taylor Lavati

Finding Sam
by Taylor Lavati
Promotional Tour

Sometimes, the past isn’t
supposed to be forgotten.

Sam is convinced he’s cursed. Everything he
touches dies. He leaves his past behind and travels across the country, hoping
the distance will save the loved ones he’s left. When his car breaks down, he becomes
stranded, finding comfort in a stray dog.

Despite the fact that he refuses to build any
relationships, the people of Sterling, Colorado wiggle their way into his
heart. His adopted dog, Lucky, shows him he can handle responsibility. His new
boss, Lenny, shows him he has purpose. His neighbor, Izzy, shows him he’s
capable of love again. But can Sam find happiness after he’s lost it all?

Finding Sam, the sequel to the bestselling novel
of addiction and attraction, A Reliant Love, is a tale of redemption,
acceptance, and finding yourself.

“I shouldn’t be
here,” I mutter under my breath.
“Like in this town
or here in the kitchen with me?” She quirks her head to the side and crosses
her arms over her chest. It’s defensive, but not, at the same time. More likely
a precautionary arm cross.
“Both.”
“Do you not like
me? I know I can talk a lot, and I’m trying hard to be positive in this awkward
situation. Sometimes it’s just one comment too much that can set someone off.
I’m sure you can tell, but I’m normally really upbeat and positive.” She nods
like a hundred times.
“Why?”
“Anything can
happen at anytime, so you have to live every day like it’s your last. That guy
just pisses me off.” She shakes her head, dragging in a loud breath.
“Listen, I’m not
begging you to like me,” she says as she slams the refrigerator door shut.
“It’s just that you’re new around here, and I saw you as a clean slate. I just
want to be friends, so if you have a girlfriend, that’s fine.” She steps
forward and grabs my forearm. I stare down at where our bare flesh connects.
“Seriously, I’m not a relationship person. I don’t believe in relationships,
but I do respect them. I’d never step on another girl’s toes. I just want to be
friends.”
“I’m leaving the
second my car is fixed.” My words ring with finality. Her hand falls from me as
she steps backwards towards the fridge like I slapped her.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.

I could not wait to start book two.  If this book was as good as book one, then I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. It wasn't as good as book one...it was better.   Taylor Lavati has an excellent way of telling a story.  You will not want to stop reading.  She has a way of making you be able to feel the emotions of the characters, be able to place yourself in the situation as if you were the character.  She is definitely one of my favorite authors.  Sam makes you want to root for him to beat this addiction and to finally learn to love himself. His guilt is very overpowering and he finds his peace in the arms of the one person he never thought he would find it...in the arms of someone who has also fought the same battle.  You cannot help but fall in love with Sam and Izzy.  She is so genuine and is exactly what he needs.  Lenny, the grandfather we all could love is a perfect addition to this series.  Lenny was a good example that you meet people for a reason.  He gave Sam a lesson in life that forever changed him..... You have to love yourself before you can truly love someone else. Once you pass that hurdle, the possibilities are endless.  I highly recommend you read this series.  I will be reading more from this author.  You will not be disappointed.

Other Books in this Series

A Reliant Love

Nathalie Carter wants one thing: independence. She has paid her dues by living at home under her parents’ watchful eyes, earning grades to give her a ticket out and joining clubs she had no interest in to get into college.

She plans to experience things she believes every new adult should—from falling in love to playing beer pong and pulling an all-nighter to skipping class because she’s too hungover. But nothing ever seems to go as planned, and she gets pulled into a world she never imagined existed.

Samuel Torrington’s past refuses to release him from its vise-like grip; but he has a plan, and once his senior year of college is over, he can finally move away and start anew. His addictions help him get through day-to-day life, but he’s
constantly battling darker demons.

Fate brings the two together, and chance takes them on a roller coaster ride that neither would dare hop off. Within destiny’s grasp, they realize there are two things impossible to fight—addiction and attraction.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.

After reading book 1 of this series....I am hooked.  This is an excellent series.  The author does an excellent job portraying the life of a drug addict and how sometimes the choices they make have consequences.  Natalie, a new student, falls in love with Sam. Hoping she will be enough for him, she tries to help him beat his addiction.  She pays the ultimate price against an opponent that she cant beat.  Sam, whose past seems to keep hold of him, uses drugs to kill his demons.  In the end, he realizes to late what matters most to him.  Although, he loses the one woman who would do anything for him, he is able to rekindle his friendship with the one guy he misses most, his best friend.  I really loved how the book ended.  It leaves you wondering how Sam will handle this tragedy.  Will it push him over the edge and finally destroy him or will he finally be able to put his past behind and move on?  You will have to read book 2 to find out. I fell in love with this series and I am sure you will too.

**Review Tour** Forsaken Sinners MC ~ Shelly Morgan

When life gives you lemons, it’s time for shots of tequila.

That’s my new saying in life, and trust me, life has handed me lots of lemons.

My name is Danielle DeChenne, and for eighteen years I took every punch “destiny” threw at me. Now I’m no longer a naive girl. Traumatic abuse will do that to you. I was forced to grow up too fast, and the one person I depended on—that gorgeous Marine, Zane—turned his back on me. So now I say screw the lemonade and just give me a bottle of Jack Daniel’s, because I don’t believe in destiny anymore.

There is no pre-destined path set out for each of us. That crap doesn’t exist.

Sometimes bad things happen…it’s just how the world works. It sucks, but you have to pick yourself up and get on with your life. Even if it’s an impossible task.

I’m done sitting around and waiting for my life to change or something good to fall in my lap. It took me awhile to understand, but once I stopped being the doormat for destiny, it was time for me to take control. Now I decide where I go in life and what will happen. It won’t always be pretty, it will sometimes hurt like hell, but I will make sure I live my life to the fullest…

Then the gorgeous Marine from my past returned with a vengeance—except this time, I was ready for him.

It's time to rewrite destiny.

With a dark past of abuse, Toby Smith full-on raged against life.

After years of neglect from his junkie mother, Toby turned to the one thing that made his fury go away—mixed martial arts. Now, as an adult, he lives and breathes his training club and fighting, inside or outside of the cage. But when a mousy blonde walks into his gym for a self-defense class he's teaching, that all fades away.

Sara Carmichael was always a doormat—until the day she took her life back.

Struggling to cope with years of physical and emotional abuse from a boyfriend, things take a turn for the worse. Drunk and in rare form, he nearly violates her in unspeakable ways. So she leaves and escapes from New York to California, hoping it’s far enough away that he won't find her.

Sparks fly in the most uncommon places.

When Sara and Toby meet, they never expected it would be in a sweaty gym. When they are together, Toby feels things he can’t understand. But when Sara’s past clouds their present, will she be strong enough to defend her new life? Or will Toby snap and become the man she’s always feared?

It’s one thing to fight for love, but it’s another when you’re…Fighting Destiny.

An uncertain future is all Dani DeChenne ever expected—and she was right.

A woman usually has a sixth sense about being pregnant. But a tattoo artist who never intended on being a mother—not so much. Instead, she passes out at the gym, and her boyfriend, Zane Hendricks, is the first to find out while she is still unconscious.

To say Zane is over the moon would be an understatement. But Dani’s lonely childhood with an absent mother makes her afraid of becoming a parent herself. What if she sucks at it and her child ends up hating her?

With every fear, there’s hope for a brighter future.

Once Dani gets over the shock, her heart is set on the family she and Zane will build together. But the bliss is short-lived as her pregnancy progresses and Zane’s duties keep him away. Depression sets in, and Dani feels more alone than ever.

It isn’t until an old high school friend drifts into town that Dani has someone to talk to. Jax Reynolds is there on business, looking for a permanent job in security. When Zane catches wind of some guy hanging around his pregnant girlfriend, hospitality flies out the window. But by some miracle, the three become good friends, and Dani finally has the stability she always wanted.

Or so she thought.

When tragedy strikes, every second makes the difference between a bright future or a disastrous fate. And beyond the immediate danger threatening to ruin Dani and Zane’s lives, an even more treacherous secret might be the one thing that can destroy it all forever.

Twenty-six-year-old Louie Creighton knows there is something inside him he can’t control…

Ever since he can remember, Louie has had a short fuse. People always said he’d amount to nothing. He wasn’t smart enough to get into college. He wasn’t tough enough to be a Marine. No one believed in him.

No one except his father, Mike Creighton…

Louie’s father always taught him to turn the other cheek. He was a true mentor, teaching him how to be a man in a world of cowards. But when his father is murdered the day after scratching a winning lottery ticket, Louie’s inner monster can’t be contained. He becomes determined to track down the suspect at any cost. All along, he struggles to live by his father’s motto—To find out what you live for, you have to discover what you’d die for.

Then he meets Harlow McPherson…

Her entire life has been a battle. Harlow grew up in the system, bouncing from one foster home to the next. Most weren’t that bad, but some were hell.

The only comfort was the fact she wasn’t alone. Her twin brother, Hendrix, was always there—until he took his own life years later, abandoning Harlow in a cruel world. Unable to forgive, it’s Louie who reminds her there’s still hope.

When Louie unleashes his inner monster, and Harlow finally faces her demons, will they lose themselves to the darkness, or risk it all Defying Destiny?

As a huge MC fan. I jumped on this series. I find that all MCs are fascinating. How each author sees it in their mind amazes me.

Rewriting Destiny: Dani went through hell. To find herself, she had to hit rock bottom, leave, and find her place in the world. Lost in the shadows of having no family, she ends up in Cali, living and working for an MC. Then a blast from the past. The one man she had hoped to never see again shows up in her shop. He hopes their future is strong enough to over come the past.

Fighting Destiny: Sara Carmichael is new in town. She's timid, shy, and afraid of her own shadow. Determined to overcome the abuse she was subject to, Sara finds herself inside a MMA gym she learn to take care of herself. She didn't expect the teacher to be the most gorgeous man she's ever laid eyes on. She certainly didn't anticipate his commanding way. Toby wants her. And he will have her. As he struggles to lay his alpha to the side long enough for Sara to understand she is safe and he will protect her with his life.

Born into Destiny: Brings us back to the beginning. Back to Dani. Now pregnant, Dani has embraced life as a mother. Granted she's still tryin to kick ass and take names. She just has to work around her cute lil pouch to do so. As Zane continues to work, she feels more alone than ever. Until Jax walks in. Best friends in high school they pick up where they left off. If Zane will let them. Push comes to shove, Jax and Zane both want whats best for Dani and her unborn children.

Defying Destiny: Louie had the perfect life -- according to him -- up until one night when it was all taken from him. From that point on, He was a Forsaken Sinner. He has never let another inside. Until Her. Harlow disappeared 2 years ago, and he felt a void when she left. When she returns, he's more determined than ever to make her his permanently. But when an old acquaintance starts showing up, Can he keep her safe from harm?

Overall I absolutely loved this series. I can not wait to read Mack's book. As the father figure of the entire crew, I'm anxious to find out his back story. Exactly how he became the wonderful man he is today. I would recommend some non-biased beta readers for Shelly as there was a bit of redundancy inside some of the story line. Otherwise, spot on, I can't wait to read more from her.

I grew up in a small town in Iowa. I have 2 older sisters and amazing parents. Growing up, I was always a daddy's girl, hanging out with him in the garage, fishing, and building stuff. I loved to play softball and swimming, but reading, telling stories, and writing were my passion, even at a young age. I took a break from writing for a while, but you could always find me with a book in my hand.

I have three children - two boys and a girl. They are my whole world. Even when I'm having the worst day ever, they brighten up my day and make me smile.

A few years ago, there was this story that would always play out in my head and no matter how many times I went through it, from beginning to end, it would never fade. So I decided to put it on paper. I didn't plan on publishing it, but when it was almost done, a friend asked to read it. She said it was a story that needed to be shared. And that's what started my writing career.

I love all genres of books, and even though I started with writing MC Romance, I have a whole book of ideas, so you can expect more from me than just MC, though romance is in my blood.

Even though I currently work two jobs, my ultimate dream is to become a full time author. I want to be able to spend my days filling pages with stories. I want to be the reason people find a reason to smile or laugh from lines on a page. Reading a book allows me to live in someone else's shoes, even if only for a few minutes. It's a way to leave my life and troubles behind and I want to be help others do that as well.
