**Review** The Jared Effect ~ Jake Malden

Vanessa picks up a hitcher on the Interstate and enlists him to rescue her friend from a doomed romance, with no idea how far he'll go to help.

Sasha steals a carnie from her shy friend Libby at a funfair, setting the girls on course for a surprise that will rock them both.

Hot teacher Sylvia re-acquaints herself with an ex-student at a music gig, and finds their one-time classroom roles shockingly reversed.

It's all one man - Jared Morgan, who dropped out of college and hit the road with a Fender acoustic and a change of clothes. He's been blowing in the wind ever since, getting by on short-term gigs and shorter-term loving.

'The Jared Effect' tells three stories of this charming long-haired rogue and the women whose lives he changes. And maybe of the woman who can change him in return. A laid-back joker with an infinitely raunchy mind and a permanently hard cock, he's the kind of trouble it's wise to steer clear of. But seriously - where would be the fun in that?

*****Katrina's Review*****

Okay, Ladies, after you have read the synopsis of this book, you already know what you are in for, so I won’t pull any punches, get your towels and toys (or men) ready for a very HOT READ! Jake gave it to you straight in his description of the book. Of course he couldn’t tell you all about it; you have to read for yourself, and boy Jared does not disappoint! That guy has moves, stamina and a killer smirk! He has got to be the most confident man on the planet and he knows how to use it to get what he wants and in the process help some ladies out with some life lessons. Even when he is pissing of the ladies, they still want what he has to offer *smh* and, for the most part, I enjoyed every minute of the ride. Let’s be real, if you are the very submissive type you are going to swoon! If you are like me, more of a switch, you might want to dick-punch him a little, either way; you are going to find some parts of Jared you can’t help “drip” over. *blushing*

Jake Malden, I am impressed. He is an Irish writer, writing a book from the perspective of being American. Now that is hard to do with some words being different. I caught a few words he used from across the pond that we don’t use here in the states, such as rucksack for backpack and waistcoat for vest, but other than that, he surpassed a certain other very famous UK author that tried the same feat. His writing style makes sure you are never bored or wondering what is going on. You can ALWAYS picture what Jared is up to and believe me, that is a lot and that is why this book is so hot.

If you are in for a hot read, this book is for you. Just a word of warning: if you are of the meeker variety, stay away, you WILL be offended. Just to give you a small taste of what is in the book; it has threesomes of two females and one male and one-on-one sex with others in the room. That is just a glimpse.

But Jake isn’t done with Jared’s story. While we aren’t left with a major cliffhanger, there is more that can be told with Jared Morgan and Jake tells me he is in the middle of writing the sequel now. I can hardly wait to read that book. I won’t give away what all he said, but let’s just say, Jared is in for some life lessons of his own. Honey, bring that on! 4.5 Stars! KCW

Jake Malden is a freelance journalist and writer based in London. He has been experimenting with erotica both on the page and off for some years and has a growing number of titles available. His interests, aside from the staringly obvious, are theatre, cinema, literature, fitness-training and travel (particularly back to his native Ireland). He is an enthusiast of juicing, in every possible sense.

**BT & Giveaway** Resist Me ~ Men of Inked ~ Chelle Bliss

Book:Resist Me
Series: Men of Inked
Book Number:
Author: Chelle Bliss
Genre: Erotic/Romantic Erotica
Release Date: August 25, 2014

Resist Me Ebook

Izzy Gallo has never been described as a member of the weaker sex. She’s a woman who doesn’t take shit from anyone. Growing up with four older overprotective brothers has hardened her, making her a force to be reckoned with.
Against the wishes of her two brothers, Joe and Mike, Izzy takes a weekend trip to Bike Week in Daytona, turning her world upside down. Over her head, in a world she doesn’t understand, there’s only one man who can save her.
James Caldo has dedicated his life to protect and serve as a member of the DEA. He’s cocky, overbearing, and doesn’t take no for an answer – the Gallo men have nothing on him.
When their paths cross, James makes Izzy question everything she believes about completely surrendering to the opposite sex.
Does James have what it takes to overpower the headstrong Izzy, capturing her heart forever?

I’d already raised my voice, but I couldn’t fucking help it. The woman was maddening. “I’m exactly what you need and want. You’re too fucking scared to admit it.”

She shook her head as she crawled out of bed and started to dress. “You’re not all that.”

“When you grow the fuck up, call me,” I said as I stalked toward her.

“You’re a total dick,” she hissed, moving to slap me.

I grabbed her wrist, pulling her to my body. Gripping her hair in my fist, I gave it a slight tug as I hovered over her lips. She gasped, holding my shoulders.

“You know you want me,” I growled, my lips a breath away from hers. “I wrecked you for any other man. I own your ass, Izzy. I’ll let you run, but you can’t resist me forever.”

If you are a lover of Chelle Bliss' Men of Inked, you've been waiting for this story. Izzy is definitely one of a kind. We knew she was going to need an equally strong man to handle her.

And that's what we got.

As Izzy embarks on a weekend getaway away from her overbearing brothers, she's runs into one man she wants to see, and one man she didn't want to see.  And trouble she didn't know she walked into. Izzy's snark is her trademark. Her biting attitude is out of control. But to one man, that man, she will submit to him.

James. He's that one man. Determined to protect her, to care for her, and to love her. He gives Izzy the strong hand she doesn't even know she needs. And when she realizes it?! Yep, all hell breaks loose. As Izzy battles the attraction and emotions between them, James becomes all the more determined to make her his.

Chelle Bliss is phenomenal. I know sometime in the future this series is going to have to come to an end and I don't want to see that happen. I love this series. I love the Gallo Family and I can't enough of them. Definitely on of my "Must Reads of 2014". <3 <3

**RDB & Giveaway** Can't Let Go ~ Invisibles 4 ~ Michelle Lynn

Dex is many things, a college senior, the bassist for The Invisibles, a son, a friend, everything but a boyfriend. Everybody knows him as the shallow guy who’s up for a good time anytime. People rarely take the time to see the loyal guy lying just beneath the happy-go-lucky façade.

There are parts of Dex’s life he keeps hidden. Ones he believes no one would understand. Since he gave up on the idea of a dream girl long ago, he thinks he’s finally found the perfect balance of connection without commitment with Sam.

Chrissy used to know everything about Dex. When he left four years ago for college, she was left behind. Four years later, with nowhere else to turn, Chrissy calls the one person she’s always counted on, Dex. One glance at the sad eyes he’s tried to forget and Dex knows it’s out of his control.

With Chrissy's return, lines begin to cross from friendship to something more, but will Dex's secret force them apart forever?

(Can't Let Go is the fourth novel in the Invisibles Series)

Picking it up, still shaking in my hands, a number I don’t recognize crosses the screen. Wavering on whether or not I want to chance this being something at the house, I hit ignore because I don’t want to be bothered with my dad’s so-called business today. Then thoughts of someone raiding or maybe some loser found out where my dad’s operation is. Worse case, someone ratted him out. Figuring someone who I have programmed in my phone would have made the phone call to alert me, I wait to see if they leave a voicemail. Which they do—my phone vibrates a second later.

Clicking speaker, I place the black rectangle on my dresser while I gel my hair. My fingers are manipulating each strand, placing it in the perfect spot when her voice comes across. My hands stop mid-air and I my eyes fixate on the phone. Closing my eyes, that sweet sound that’s only lived in my dreams the past years still unglues me to the core.   “Um … Dex. I’m in town and … um … I was wondering … if maybe we could … um … talk.” Her voice is practically shaking from the awkwardness of the phone call.

“HULK!” Brady screams again. Debating in my head what I should do, I could easily claim ignorance that I never got the call. Say that I was already out of town. Excuses run through my head as to why I would leave her wherever she is. Then the images of her alone, or worse, not. Knowing even with the distance that has formed between us over the years, I could never, would never, not go to her if she needed me.

Walking out my door, I peer over the railing to a sour Brady. “Man, I gotta do something. You guys go without me,” I shout down.

“What is so damn important?” he asks, sensitive to the fact he can tell something’s off with me. Brady is like the father of our friends, protective of us all.

“A friend needs me,” I say, remaining vague. If Brady knew the half of what I did when I leave this house, he’d probably have an anxiety attack.

He stands there staring up at me and wavers at the door. Probably counting in his head how long he has before Sadie, his fiancé, comes in search of him. “What’s up, man?” he asks, stepping up a few stairs.

“I’m not sure yet. I need to make a call.” I’m honest with him because Brady has a sense of comfort about him. Although, I’m fairly certain our secrets are shared with Sadie, he keeps things mostly to himself.

“Do that, and we’ll wait.” He jogs back down the steps, and the front door shuts behind him.

Sitting on my bed, I bite my lip. It’s been so long. Not that she hasn’t crossed my mind; I’m not sure a day goes by that I don’t wonder where she is and what’s she’s doing. I question why she left and never answered my calls. The guilt that I somehow left her behind always resonating inside somewhere within me even when she’s the one who disappeared. The small piece of electronics sits in my hands like a ten-pound weight. There’s no turning back, no erasing from my mind once I press that call icon.

Pushing back my fear, I press the call button, release a deep breath and bring the phone up to my ear. She answers on the first ring, confirming something is seriously wrong. “Dex,” she answers. Another stab of the knife that she still has my number programmed, but I don’t have her obviously changed number.

“Chrissy?” I say her name out loud for the first time in four years. How can her name seem foreign on my tongue?

The line is quiet for a few seconds before she continues. “Hi. I’m in Western … at this place called The Loft. Could you come down here?” she asks.

Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids.  She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write.   With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends.  But after chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.

a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof

**RDB & Giveaway** Unhinged ~ Timberlyn Scott

Have you ever met that someone who steals your breath with just a look? That someone you can’t stop thinking about, no matter how hard you try?

I have.

I met her in a dream. Never would I have expected her to step right into my reality, though.

But she did.

Though I can’t explain why, Payton Fowler makes me want things I never imagined I could have. She soothes the chaos in my head. But she doesn’t know who I really am, and she doesn’t see the darkness that lives inside of me.

She’s supposed to be off limits to me. But that’s not a problem. I’ve perfected the art of breaking the rules.

My name is Sebastian Trovato and this is the story of how I met the woman who unhinges me.

I was given an ARC of Unhinged. I was rather anxious to read it knowing that it was going to be vastly different from anything Nicole Edwards has written before. I must say, that she shocked me, rocked me, and had me hooked.

Nicole Edwards is infinitely described the "Queen of Menage". I, personally, am glad to see her break out of this mold and go in a completely different direction. When you, the reader, reach the end of Unhinged, you're going to be shocked. And you're going to question if this is really Nicole's writing. Why you ask? It's that different from anything that has come before it. I think that Nicole made a perfect move finding a pen name for this one because you don't feel like you reading Nicole Edwards.

In Unhinged, we meet Sebastian... the smoldering "mechanic". And Payton, the new administrative assistant to Conrad Trovato - one of the biggest names in the automotive industry. As Payton finds her way through the world of Trovato, she slips into a family squabble, find a new friend, and find life to be more confusing than she ever thought.

We are getting this novel in a "series" format. So be prepared for a cliffy. The good news, the next installment will be out within the next month so *woohoo* for that, cause I need to get my hands on it.

**BT & Giveaway** Worth Forgiving ~ MMA 3 ~ Vi Keeland

They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.

Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she’s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That’s why she’s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she’s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she’d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.

But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn’t something she’d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

Excerpt: Meet Jax and Lily

Dinner and a dirty mouth

My face pinks when the waiter clears his throat, no doubt he’d heard Jax’s last comment.

“Are you ready to hear the specials?”

“Are we?” Jax arches an eyebrow, his eyes gleaming with delight. He’s not the slight bit embarrassed, but knows I am and is quite enjoying himself.

“Yes. Please.” I give him the evil eye and force my full attention back to the waiter. The entire time the waiter talks about the specials I feel Jax’s eyes burning into me.

“I’ll give you a moment to let you decide.” Graciously, the waiter excuses himself.

“Why did you do that?” I scold, my voice low.

“Do what?” He leans back in his seat, crossing his arms over his thick chest.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about.”

“Do I?”

“You enjoy watching me flustered, don’t you?”

Jax arches both eyebrows. Bad choice of words.

“You know what I mean.”

Leaning in, his voice gritty and sexy, he looks me straight in the eyes when he speaks. “I love watching you. Period. But what I like best is watching you pretend you’re unaffected. It’s like an unspoken challenge.” He pauses and leans in even closer. “I love the pink that creeps up your cheeks when I say something dirty. The way your pussy throbs when I mention what I’m going to do to you later, and you wiggle in your seat trying to control it. So yeah, I guess I do like watching you flustered. You sit and give your attention to the waiter, trying to pretend you’re listening to whatever he’s saying instead of thinking of me feeding you my cock later, but we both know you didn’t hear one word he said. Hell I didn’t hear one word watching you, just knowing what you were thinking about.”

This time, I see the waiter before he’s close enough to hear us. He smiles as he reaches our table. “So what can I get for you this evening? Did I interest you in one of our specials?”

I look at the waiter, then Jax, who arches an eyebrow with a knowing smirk on his face, then back to the waiter. “The specials all sounded delicious. I just can’t decide for myself. I’m going to defer to my date to pick one for me.” I return my eyes to Jax with a cheeky grin.

He throws his head back with a chuckle and looks at the poor confused waiter. “We’ll take whatever two are your favorites. Surprise us.”

Vi Keeland is back again with another one of her sexy, MMA Fighters in Worth Forgiving. In WF, we meet the oh so yummy Jax Knight, the surprising half brother to Nico Hunter.

Being the owner - female owner - of a mma gym is insane enough, adding in a crazy ex that she has to work with, Lily is beginning to feel as though she's in over her head. While trying to figure out all that needs to be done with the gyms, her ex, and everything else, Jax falls into her lap and sends her into a tailspin of need, jealousy, attraction, & straight up fighthing.

Jax had never seen anything more beautiful than Lily. Her being the owner is just a plus. Seeing how her ex manhandles her? Sends him over the edge with the need for protection. Jax has a history of chosing his battles wisely thanks to his father's scandal. All he wants to do is hide out. For some reason he doesn't want to hide Lily.

I have often said that Vi Keeland is a phenomenal author. She is and so much more. I really don't see where she has the time to come up with these amazing stories with all she has under her every day. She creates an intense picture in my mind when I think of my (yes I hereby claim them) MMA boys. I love each and everyone of them. Each a little broken, but a mendable. One thing I love is that we are constantly able to find out what's new in the lives of our past characters as she intricately weaves them into each story! Vi continually sucks me back in with the characters she's created in her world.

Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often, but wouldn't change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work. She is a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night!

It didn't matter that the ref called it a clean hit. Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she's been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half. But it's boring...and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle's office and everything changes...for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.

Meet Liv Michaels

It may have been seven years, but I'd know him anywhere. Sure, he's grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I'd much rather forget.

Liv Michaels is almost there. She's smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she's dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Meet Vince Stone

Women love a fighter, especially a good one. Lucky for me, I'm damn good. But there's one woman that isn't interested. Not again, anyway.

Vince 'The Invincible' Stone is every woman's fantasy...strong, sexy, confident and completely in control. Growing up surrounded by chaos, he's learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down. He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own...for the night anyway. With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.

When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there's no denying the chemistry is still there. But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?
